This review is from: Housing Reclaimed: Sustainable Homes for Next to Nothing (Paperback)
I have read numerous books on this subject & thought this one sounded like a GREAT addition to my library....NOT so much. I found that most of the sustainable home info was same old-same old...No How-to or unique new ideas. First chapter is a "look at me" chapter on "Guy & Kay"...followed by "A History Housing Finance"...A whole chapter is dedicated to a "non-profit" group in NC (where I live & have never even HEARD of them) that buys up houses that are going to be torn down & renovates them. For those of us who are looking for terrific ideas on how to build with salvage materials, this REALLY isn't what you want. I was very dissapointed. If I were you , I wouldn't waste my money...
