1.0 out of 5 stars NOT a travel guide!, January 26, 2011

This review is from: Houston Travel Guide (Kindle Edition)
What's wrong with this guide? It's not a guide!

There is a brief section at the beginning that talks about area attractions, restaurants, and places to stay. (It mentions over 8,000 eateries in greater Houston but reviews a dozen.) Once beyond this slim section of the book, it becomes a badly edited history of Houston and it's buildings. I didn't need 40 pages on the various arenas and how/when/why they were built, nor did I need to know the sporting highlights or previous rock shows held there.

There are many things wrong with this book but the biggest is this: it has no searchable table of contents, which makes it's value as a guidebook zero.

Do not waste your money.
