My kids enjoy watching this old favorite of mine! The streaming quality on Amazon is superb. I rarely have any issues with playback, keeping place, or picture quality! Prices are reasonable for most items though they should think about a cheaper per episode model.

Makes me remember my childhood and also allows me to let my kids be part of that precious time as well.

"A Little Smurf Confidence" shows Weakling Smurf for the 1st, and possibly only, time. It's quite predictable. It may make you think about the cowardly lion.

"Hogatha's Heart Throb" stands out to me more. Gargamel pretends to be another wizard on whom Hogatha has a crush to get a magic whistle from her. But Hogatha doesn't intentionally ever give Gargamel a way to get that whistle. It's basically a Smurf-erized version of "Gift of the Magi." Remember that story where the husband sells his watch to buy a comb for his wife, but the wife sold her hair to buy a watch chain for her husband? Many students read that as their introduction to irony in literature. The Smurfs story may have a bit of "there's no honor amongst theives" in it too.

I have a love-hate relationship with Ogre Big Mouth. But I always enjoy things with Hogatha in it. Her snorting doesn't irritate me either. She's like an evil version of Mrs. Garrett from "The Facts of Life" and "Diff'rent Strokes."

I predict that your kids will enjoy watching this episode.
