Book Description

June 17, 2006
This book not only tells you the symptoms of the Bird Flu , but also informs you of the vitamins, minerals, and hard to find , but potent , effective natural remedies, especially supplements which have been researched and are expected to give you the best chance of avoiding the flu, as well as treating it. Most have expressed surprise that they find something on each page that they did not know which can help improve their health in general. This is a well-rounded book which stresses using " food as medicine and medicine as food". It also covers proper breathing, as well as the employer's role, the teacher's role and a special chapter geared to the 20 to 40 age group, which is speculated to be the most at risk. This is a " must have" to help you prepare. May you live long, healthy, and prosper! Sincerely, Dr. Marion Dunn

About the Author

Dr. Marion Dunn initially became a nurse by earning an associate degree (R.N.), then a bachelor's degree in nursing. She was a nursing instructor for two years at Wayne County Community College in Detroit, Michigan. She later attended Michigan State University where she received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. After internship, then residency training in psychiatry at Lafayette Clinic in Detroit, she began her practice, becoming Board Certified in Psychiatry in July of 1995. After practicing medicine for several years, Dr. Dunn grew tired of the "quick fix" for depression, mood changes, confusion, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and other emotional conditions. She began talking with patients about nutrition and other lifestyle changes that she felt would help, before giving medications. She continues to encourage all to consider natural medicine options first. This book is not just to help manage symptoms of flu, but to encourage all to look at natural options in health care. Many times, our parents used remedies from their ancestors that worked well throughout the years. Because these remedies were not researched, younger generations have forgotten them, or simply choose not to use them. Listening to older and more mature family members was seen as a sign of respect. It also helps us to respect ourselves.
