This is a GREAT book! I ordered a stack of books about 1 ft high from amazon.com on Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, muscle weakness and joint stiffness. THIS BOOK had my answers! I read other very good books but this ONE book was the only one I needed to read. It EXPLAINS things! Step by step. I did the 5-day water fast as the book talked about and all my pains dissappeared!! Now I am food testing because I did not know about food allergies which had been causing me Flare-ups every now and then. The book had EXACT stories of muscle stiffness/weakness JUST LIKE ME! It described my exact symptom and had the correct cure. I'm only 41yrs old, too young to feel so old! I very very highly recommend this book!! I tell all my friends about it. I am now recovering from over a year of muscle stiffness and weakness. Everyone should read this book if not just for the value of learning WHY we should eat healthy and what foods ARE healthy and not and WHY so. It explains things, which is why I love this book! Easy to read and understand! If I had this book just a few weeks earilier, I could have saved myself from having a $2,200 MRI - which turned up just fine! It was my bad eating habits. Knowledge is key! This book gives knowledge. We go to school and College to learn a skill but no one teaches us the important of what foods to eat and why. America has the worst diet! I changed my diet and I got better, the book taught me knowledge of foods, food allergies, and understanding so much that I can't type it all. If you read the entire book, you'll be making recommendations here just like I am doing. I am just a regular person and no way related to the book or website here. I hope this helps someone who maybe reading it. READ THIS BOOK!!
...4 Years later I am now writting this next paragraph. This book helped me to learn about foods! I later learned about the Hallelujah Diet & Lifestyle and changed my diet. I now look and feel 20years younger and my arthritis is gone! I used to weigh 215 lbs and now I weigh 167 lbs. I have been on the Hallelujah Diet for almost 4 yrs now and LOVE it. In fact as of this year (2009) I eat all RAW living foods and I can see even more difference. I highly recommend the HA diet and RE-learning about foods, what you eat may be causing your problems! It is not so important what you eat...AS COMPARED TO...What You DON'T EAT!!! After almost 4 years of changing my diet and lifestyle I have impacted my communtiy and several people now have learned about the HA diet and eating more raw living foods and understanding what food is and what food is NOT. The Standard American Diet (SAD) is killing us slowly in the wonderful country many have helped to build. The Love of money, greed and lack of understanding about what we put into our mouths everyday is the cause of up to 90% of all of phyical problems. I hope you will begin to learn and change, it worked for me and many others. Read as many books as you can and learn for yourself, and again I highly recommend the Hallelujah Diet & Lifestyle. It took years of learning and struggling to find this out, but it completely changed every area of my life in a very positive and healthy way!

I bought this book in August, 2006. At that time, my RA symptoms had me walking with a cane and unable to do any exercise other than very gentle water calisthenics. Fast forward 3 months, and I feel better than I did before I got sick. I now work out on an elliptical trainer, practice yoga, or take a Pilates class 6 days a week. Neighbors who hardly know me comment on the improvement in my mobility (I guess a 30 yo woman with a cane is pretty noticeable.) I've also lost 22 pounds.
I know what the Arthritis Foundation and the rheumatologists say about RA and nutrition and I don't believe them anymore. I can't promise it will work for everyone, but if you have RA, please at least try the guidelines in this book. You owe it to yourself to do whatever it takes to get better. Only four stars because the text could be better organized.

A must for rheumatoid arthritis sufferers.,

This is the best book I have ever found for people who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, which is why I rate it 5 stars. I know 3 women who have placed their rheumatoid arthritis in remission following the elimination diet methodology explained in this book. If you suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, you should consider following this diet under the guidance of a healthcare professional (preferably a Naturopathic Doctor) who understands its methodology, its potential benefits and the potential health complications of fasting.

A terrific insight into the causes and "cures" for arthritis,

You'd almost expect a book that calls itself "How to Eat Away Arthritis" to be another "How-to invest in painkillers" type of epistal. In a way, it is. However, the painkillers we learn about here are all natural, with no constipating side-effects. Thank you, Lauri M. Aesoph - you have helped deliver me from the dark night of the soul. Wolves no longer chew on my bones and I feel better than I have since my teens. If you suffer from arthritis, READ this book, and DO as the author suggests. Believe me, it will be worth it!

This was a great book about getting healthy. There is some "out there" concepts, but overall, will be easy to follow this diet. My hubby has RA and at age 34, we are both committed to healthy living and getting rid of RA symptoms.

The book has excellent information on how to eat, how to fast your way to health, etc.
It's just a pity that the author didn't get assistance with the layout of the book. I really struggled my way through it and also struggle to find information that I want to refer back to. The layout needs to be a whole lot more systematic and logical.

I found this book a waste of time and money.,

I purchased this book in hopes of learning new concrete facts about gout and it's management. I felt the author was less concerned with those of us that suffer from this horrible malady than those with other forms of arthritis. Save your money for a book that will devote at least one chapter exclusively to gout. I really did not learn anything new from this book. If I had picked it up in a bookstore rather than ordering from Amazon.com, I would not have purchased it.

I don't know what some of the people are talking about when they say the book does not go into gout and other forms of arthritis. Did they actually READ it?? I didn't understand the workings of any of the forms of arthritis before I read this. Now I do. It's throughout the WHOLE book. Pay attention!
It tells you exactly how it's caused and what to do about it. If you want a medical journal on the disease, then go to a medical library. The person that blasted the book because her copy had a chapter missing.... HELLO?? How is that the author's fault for a damaged or incomplete copy? This is a review, NOT seller feedback! For the first time I have felt hope for a lot of things. It pulled so many things together for me. This is a book about helping your body detox and heal. I have not started yet, but am looking forward to trying the program. This is a book about common sense and getting back to how God intended the body to function. It's very clear on all forms of arthritis. It doesn't just coddle one form. It's a good basic book on eating properly and naturally and letting your body heal the way it was meant to.

My wife started right away to eliminate some of the triggers that were mentioned in the book. She thought it was a quick read and gave good information.
