5.0 out of 5 stars Car Dealer
This is, no doubt, one of the most amusing tapes I have ever heard. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a good laugh!

1.0 out of 5 stars these guys should be ashamed of themselves
Roy D. Mercer is a rip-off of Leroy (NOT LEE ROY) Mercer. Do a search for Leroy Mercer aka John Bean and find out the real story.

There is not a funnier guy on the radio than Roy D. Mercer. Those of us in Tulsa get regular shots of Roy D. & his ass-whoopin' ways. Perhaps, with his CD's going GLOBAL, one day wars might consist of hilarious phone calls such as those on this & other Roy D. Mercer CD's. Be carefull who you invite to listen with since we ALL have a friend (or brother in law) lke Roy D. And yes, it's OK to laugh out loud!!!!!!

Roy D. Mercer is a funny guy. Playing jokes on people saying he's going to kick there butt if they dont give him what he wants. Roy is just like The Jerky Boys but much cleaner. BE CAREFULL OF THAT NEXT PHONE CALL IT MAY JUST BE HIM...................

5.0 out of 5 stars Use Caution While Driving, June 30, 2003
This review is from: How Big'a Boy Are Ya 1 (Audio CD)
My better half and I bought this and some other comedy CDs for a recent road trip. This CD was so funny that I felt it impaired our ability to drive. We found ourselves listening intently and occasionally we'll make jokes with each other about the more memorable lines. It's not exactly high-brow humor, so don't buy this CD if redneck jokes and laughing at prank calls doesn't work for you. However, if you've ever listened to morning radio pranks and enjoyed them, you'll love this CD. It's perhaps the best set of radio pranks I've ever heard. My favorite on this one is the naval recruiter, but it's just one of many, many other hysterical phone calls.

5.0 out of 5 stars be prepared to be hauled off to the funny farm!!, February 25, 1999

I had never heard of Roy D. Mercer until my son borrowed vol. 1 from a friend of his. I had been feeling bad from illness and I am giving testimony today laughter is the best medicine!! Dead Hamster is my favorite! That poor recruiter didn't know what hit him until ole roy told him that the recruiter was going to have to tell his son's 4-H teacher that little Liberace wasn't going to be in the talent show!!! Thank you Roy D. Mercer!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars side splitting comedy, February 7, 1999

He will bring the best and worst out in the people he calls. His sense of humor goes way beyond the call of duty. This compact disc is money well spent if comedy is what you are seeking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't think this is funny? Then probably a Prozac candidate, December 15, 2002
This review is from: How Big'a Boy Are Ya 1 (Audio CD)
Sure, the well crafted stories delivered to the victims of R.D. Mercer are hilarious in themselves, but it's the candid reactions of the victims that add to the cheerfulness of this effort. Unlike many of the other self-indulgent phone call pranksters on the market Roy manages to set verbal traps, luring his victims out into the open where they expose their true character. Also compared to most attempts at comedy the amount of profanity is very low ... proving you don't have to be foul mouthed to be funny ... you just have to be imaginitive...and Roy is exactly that.
