4.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully Illustrated, June 3, 2004
By
This review is from: How the Brain Works (Essential Science Series) (Paperback)
This book should really be read in conjuction with the
Introduction Mind and Brain book (by Angus Gellatly). Here
the authors give a more contemporary work on the human
brain. Recent development are explained with clear and
beautiful illustrations. This is compared to the latter
which gives a more historical view of the human brain in
terms of our understanding of it and what has been done
by neuroscientists and psychologists. I would recommend this
book as a start for those interested in knowing more about
the human brain.

This review is from: How the Brain Works (Essential Science Series) (Paperback)
I'm Charles Panati, former Science Editor of Newsweek, and I so thoroughly enjoyed this book that I highly recommend it. It explains so much in so little space. What a superb overview of the brain, mind, and consciousness.
