5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Book, June 12, 2006
This review is from: How to Build a Child's Character: By Tapping Into Your Own (Paperback)
Contrary to Alan's portrayal of the book, I believe that this book is very inspirational and a must read for anybody regardless if you are a teacher, parent, coach or any role that is able to affect young people or your not, this book will encourage you to become a person who can affect the lives of others. Personal stories give a nice touch to Dr. Birchak's book, creating a sense of connection between the reader and Dr. Birchak. Dr. Birchak's book incorporates personal stories, and exercises that make you slow down and examine your own life and how you can become a better person. As a future educator myself I found this book to be extremely useful in beginning my teaching career. I actually was privileged enough to be able to see Dr. Birchak speak at a conference. Aside from his book Dr. Birchak is an excellent speaker. His ability to create a sense of connection is like none other. Not many people these days are as grounded and influential as Dr. Birchak. Finally as a person who loves quotes I loved the collection of quotes Dr. Birchak uses to convey his message. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody, educator or not it will change your view on life.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Most Inspirational Book About Guiding Children That Has Ever Been Written, December 8, 2005
This review is from: How to Build a Child's Character: By Tapping Into Your Own (Paperback)
A fantastic book whether you are a parent, teacher, or in any role shaping tomorrow's youth. Will make you laugh and make you cry. Filled with great self-reflective exercises and inspirational quotes. Dr. Birchak's wisdom makes this book a timeless classic. It's impossible to read this book and not become a different person. In today's rush-rush world we need more books like this. It makes you slow down and approach life differently.
