The author, a Colorado real estate agent, intends his book to be used primarily by the home buyer. Much of the usual information regarding the types of housing--i.e., single family, condo, townhouse, duplex, or triplex--and the basis of financing--i.e., FHA, VA, conventional, FMHA, or Federal Land Bank and the various mortgage plans--are discussed. Only limited guidelines are provided for house inspection and the art of negotiation. Still, though this is not a workbook, it does contain numerous charts, graphs, and exercises to determine one's financial goals. The author advocates the organization and execution of all real estate transactions in a businesslike manner--all the way through closing to the actual moving day. Recommended for public libraries.
