I received the hardcover "How to cook like a Jewish Mother" in 1969, (copyright 1969) at my engagement party.
I have used this book constantly throughout the years - the directions are simple, the results delicious and the recipes are very easy to make. I am still married to the same man and have four sons who still love my cooking.
This cook book made a wonderful Jewish cook out of newly converted Jewish girl.

If nothing else, this little anachronistic book has the best recipe for chicken soup, and some old fashioned hidden gems that your guests will love. This is my secret weapon for the holidays!!
