2.0 out of 5 stars Only useful if you don't know anything about depression, April 26, 2008
Considering that this book came out 12 years ago, most of the information in here is dated and/or stuff most people already know. For instance a lot of information and emphasis on SSRIs. SSRIs include Paxil, Prozac and Zoloft, which have black box warnings and/or negative press as of late. The book seems wordy without offering much info that you couldn't find in general about depression. Maybe it's time for a new, up to date edition?

4.0 out of 5 stars lovely.., March 29, 2007
I bought this book because I am a fan of Dr. Keith Ablow. The book is up to date. It definitely did not make me feel 'yucky' like a lot of those depression books can. But, I think that I was waiting for something new and exciting. More of a reading book with case studies.
