From the Inside Flap

When Jesus answers His disciples' question regarding "...the coming of the Son of man," He makes a statement that seems to be contrary to our understanding of endtime events: "For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark" (Matthew 24:38). It seems strange that He does not mention the terrible development of sin and wickedness, but simply enumerates the normal day-to-day things people occupy themselves with.

For our day, Jesus does not emphasize the breaking up of families, public exhibition of homosexuality, the horrible murder of the unborn, the AIDS epidemic and frightening increases in illegal drug use. He simply tells us that people will be just the same as they have always been and always will be: they eat, they drink, they marry and give in marriage; they buy and sell, plan and build. But He does reveal one important item, "And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away..." They did everything that normal people do, but neglected on thing: They did not go into the saving ark God had provided through Noah. Why, we may ask, did they not go into the ark? Because they were quite busy with their normal way of life and things were going well for them.

Are things going well for us today? We are no longer threatened by dictatorship, communism, or Nazism. "We, the people" are in charge. We are a democracy.

People who are secure in their democratic government do not need to take notice of the Scripture's warning that great deception will come upon the entire world. Thus, the virtual guarentee of peace and prosperity through democracy is causing more and more people to trust in this system and "...know not..." what the Bible has to say about the endtimes. They are neglecting the most important thing, salvation of the soul.

It is ironic that democracy, the system we so love, cherish, and defend, is the only system that seems to match the endtime political scenario whereby the entire world will be united. Strangely enough, it is not through the force of communism, or some dictatorship, but the peaceful means of election "by the people, for the people," that the prophesied one world system is being established in our day!

When we think of the Antichrist we think of someone like Hitler. But this book looks at the world today; the things happening today in Europe and the world. Presents a very convincing argument showing that through worldwide democracy the antichrist will come to power. As you read this book it all comes together. Powerful chapter on the Pope reaching out to all religions to be the leader of all religions. We see it happening today. Another good and eye opening chapter takes on the environmentalist and their false doomsday prophecies. Good stuff and a good read.

Arno Froese is the Executive Director of Midnight Call Ministry and editor of its monthly magazine, Midnight Call; he has sponsored many international conferences on biblical prophecy. He has also written/edited books such as Toward the 7th Millennium: A Penetrating Look into the Future, The Coming Digital God, Preparing for the Mark of the Beast, Daniel's Prophecies Made Easy, The Great Mystery of the Rapture, etc.

He wrote in the first chapter of this 1997 book, "When people ask me, 'Why should we study the future?' I usually give them about three or four answers. First of all... God is saying [Isa 45:11] that it is a good things to ask Him about the future. Second... we are told [Rev 1:1] that knowing the future is God's intention for us. The third answer is common sense. It is part of human nature to want to know as much as possible about the future so we can be prepared for it." (Pg. 10)

He points out, however, that "Articles appeared in Christian publications alleging that the stones for the temple were cut and ready to be shipped to Israel at any given time. Reportedly, the temple stones were cut in a rock quarry in Bedford, Indiana. After some research, the story was found to be a rumor." (Pg.

(Sigh) As if Hal Lindsay wasn't silly enough, now we have THIS book by Arno Froese... It seems more likely that people like the author will undercut democracy than result in any demonic election.
