Best book to learn Illustrator!,
By
This review is from: How to Do Everything: Adobe Illustrator CS4 (Paperback)
If your new (or even intermediate) to Illustrator, you will learn plenty by using this well laid out book. The tutorials are very easy to follow and having full color examples, are more helpful than b/w images!

Great Full Color Book,

This review is from: HTDE ADOBE ILLUSTRATR CS4 EB (Kindle Edition)
This is a great book if you are just getting started with Illustrator or if you are like me and just need a refresher on what some of the features are in this latest version. The full color examples (figures, color palettes, panels, etc) made it easy to follow along in the book and the color tips really make helpful information stand out.

This is not what I expected. Everything, should mean everything, and it doesn't cover everything. The "Real World" series is a much better line of books for teaching the graphic design software. It's not even a good reference. I was looking for a specific task such as converting text to paths and it doesn't show it. In other places it refers to buttons but doesn't say where they are, etc.

Terrible Book: Simply a Printout of the Help Files that come with product,
By Charles Wasserstein (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: How to Do Everything: Adobe Illustrator CS4 (Paperback)
I was really disappointed with this book because it seems to be just a printout of the Illustrator Help files.
There's no value-added discussion of Illustrator's features. There's no humor, personality or conversation in the book...it's like a computer wrote it. It's such a boring read that I had trouble concentrating after reading a few pages.

This book is good for the beginners.
I wouldn't recommend to the people who are trying to learn special techniques.

Do not have time or patience to give you an extensive review.. this is stupid to ask. Don't do it anymore. Please return to your old 'review' received the darn book or what ever... I will not participate in this. I find it very irritating and will not do it.
