I've only been using Ubuntu a short time and have tried several books to understand the sometimes circuituous workings of it. This is the only book that really addresses the very basic instructions for moving files, downloading and using Windows etc. I highly recommend it.

This book is really written for a those who have never used anything like Ubuntu before. The best title for this book would have been Ubuntu for dummies. Stay away from it if you have EVER used a computer or an operating system before.

The author does a great job at explaning a really cool OS that is free for everyone. This book is a need-to-have for beginners and a great asset as a refreshment tool for existing users.

Ubuntu is better than Microsoft Windows and just as easy to use. The book is worth every penny!
