More About the Author

Holly Lefevre loves all things wedding (including the crazy brides and even crazier grooms!). After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, she worked as a women's clothing and accessory designer, with the ultimate goal to be a wedding gown designer herself. That all changed after seven walks down the aisle as a bridesmaid. The wedding bug had bitten, and she began to put the pieces of her new career into place. There was no stopping her after she planned her own wedding and co-authored her first wedding planning book, How to "I Do:" Planning the Ultimate Wedding in Six Weekends or Less (HarperCollins/ReganBooks, 2000).

Since then, Holly has become a sought after wedding expert. It is not only Holly's design flair and planning expertise that have earned her acclaim from her clients as well as the television and print media. Brides love her easy-going manner, ability to translate ideas, and willingness to go the extra mile to make each wedding hip, stylish and totally cool. A regular speaker at wedding planning seminars, Holly dispels long-time planning myths and educates women (and men, too!) about the good, the bad, and the ugly of wedding planning.

Holly's knowledge of the wedding industry has led her to the position of premiere wedding planner for Lifetime Television's "The I Do Diaries: My Best Friend's Wedding." She was featured on NBC's The Other Half as the wedding coordinator for their on-air wedding. She has also appeared on The Rob Nelson Show, Lifetime Now, and FOOD TV. Numerous print and web publications including Wedding Bells, Bridal Guide, For the Bride by Demetrios, The Los Angeles Times, New York Bride, Newsday, Southern California Bride, Oxygen.com, WeddingGoddess.com, Brideworld.com, and Bridalocity.com have featured Holly's weddings and advice.

Holly served as the editor of the Southern California publication, Brideworld Magazine, from 2004 through 2006. A leader in the Los Angeles wedding industry, Holly was the 2002 and 2003 Co-Director of the Association of Bridal Consultants Greater Los Angeles, and the 2004 President of June Weddings, Inc. Los Angeles.

A native L.A. girl, Holly is currently living in Northern California with Brett - her husband of ten years, Joe - her seven year old event designer in training, and Jules - who joined the team two years ago.

5.0 out of 5 stars How To I Do, May 20, 2000
This review is from: How to "I Do": Planning the Ultimate Wedding in Six Weekends or Less (Spiral-bound)
As a professional in the Wedding Industry, I am always seeking new resources. This book is a very practical planning tool ... even the size is convenient for the bride to carry in her handbag. Now when I get questions from brides I work with, I will definately tell them to get this book. It tells it all and tells it like it is...in a very organized and entertaining format. Many of the tips and information are really important things to think about or learn about...before irreversable decisions are made. I really like this book and know brides will find it extremely useful.
