This collection of short pieces by Zaron Burnett III captures the essence of this writer's appeal. Beautifully written and funny as hell, this book is evidence of a life lived so effortlessly on the edge that it would have left most of us in a smoking heap by the side of the road. The thing is, when Zaron Burnett writes about his life, what comes through is not so much the peril he is in, but his ability to remain clear eyed and functional in moments that require both of those things in abundance. I highly recommend this book and suggest that you keep one in your house and one in your car just be sure you're ready for whatever comes along. I guarantee, Zaron Burnett will not leave you hanging.

Zaron Burnett III has a great, concise style that's always upbeat and manages to move very quickly. His stories are all riveting and humorous. Definitely pick this up if you'd like an afternoon or two of fun reading.
