5.0 out of 5 stars A great character guide., January 4, 2007
This review is from: How To Draw Manga: Ultimate Manga Lessons Volume 3 (v. 3) (Paperback)
I know there are alot of people who have trouble with distinguishing their characters. If you are one of those people, then this book is definitely for you!! This book is all about helping you put different traits in your characters so that people can tell them apart. Hikaru also put in some examples of older people, which is good, since I really don't see many how to draw books with many elderly people in it. This book also has some tips on what kind of pencil you should use that would better accomodate you. The contents of this book includes:

Chapter one: Mastering the pencil and pen
Drawing with a pencil, finishing up in pen

Chapter two: Designing super characters
Which includes the basics of making characters distinctive, their appearance, their eyes, hair styles, age and facial differences, height, and drawing middle aged men and elderly men.
As a bonus, they have some works done by professional artists. This book is awesome, and I would recommend it for any aspiring managa-ka! If you enjoyed the other ultimate manga lessons volumes, then I know you'll love this one. Hurry and add this one to your collection of how to draw manga books!
