Good observations about what to look for, but pretty ordinary drawings,

This review is from: How To Draw and Paint Fish and Game (Hardcover)
I wasn't impressed with the drawings. I have seen lots of people in my family sketch fish and game as well as the illustrations in the book, but as far as I know, none of them have taken any classes or read any books. I still have to say that the text of the book does tell you what to look for, and at, when sketching. I would hope that I could sketch as well or better than most of the illustrations in this book with some practice and attention. I have seen pictures that my sister has drawn of dogs and horses that are certainly more detailed and proportional than what I see in this book.
