About the Author

Andrew Chapman decided to write "How to Earn Straight A's in College" after repeatedly being asked how he did so well in college: Andrew earned an Associate's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree with perfect 4.0 GPAs in both---in only three years and while working part-time. And he finished up by taking 33 credits in his last six months, including nine graduate school credits.

In addition, prior to going to college, Andrew successfully completed a large regional police academy with the second-highest grade in his class: 96%. He was also the first student of that academy to ever score 100% on two exams.

Andrew says he wants his booklet to "show other students it's not about being smart, but working smart."

Andrew lives in southern California and is the author of two other books. He also writes, gives speeches, and conducts seminars on academic performance. In addition, he is a top-ten ranked expert in the "academic advising" category on AskMe.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great advice, May 20, 2001
This review is from: How to Earn Straight A's in College : 75 Tips for Academic Success (Paperback)
I was taking a couple of evening classes, working full-time, and running a family. I really needed all the help I could get in school! A friend recommended this booklet, which I ordered at the start of last Fall semester. It was exactly what I needed. Not every tip was applicable to my situation, but just the ones I could use made all the difference--I got A's and B's this year! The other great thing about the booklet is that it fits right in your pocket, which made it easy to read in my spare moments at school. I definitely recommend it.
