Curt Simmons (Saint Jo, Texas) is a freelance writer and technical trainer who specializes in Windows operating systems and BackOffice products. He holds the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Trainer certifications (MCT). Aside from his technical expertise, Curt has a BA in English and a Master's degree in education. He has been working with windows Me since Beta 1. I was wondering when a BlackBerry book would finally hit the shelves, and I was not disappointed. How To Do Everything with your BlackBerry explores all that your BlackBerry can do and how to make the most of it. I learned a number of tricks I did not know, even though I have been using the BlackBerry for some time now. This book is easy to read and full of step-by-step examples. BlackBerry users - get it!

I got this book because I'm thinking of buying a BlackBerry and I wanted to know what they are all about. After going through the book, I feel like I've had a private tutoring session with an expert on how to use the thing, even though I never held one in my hand. I may go with a lightweight notebook over buying a BlackBerry now that I'm aware of some of its limitations, but it's an impressive device and now I'll be able to make a decision on the merits.

This book was very helpful in understanding the basic operations of my backberry. It had good tips that was very helpful and made the learning curve a lot easier. However, I had one problem with this book. It is an old issue and does not cover the latest devices. It would have been perfect if it had been updated.
