A Christian Classic,
By Rick Hamer (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: How to Experience Revival (Paperback)
I have decided to purchase a few more copies to give away to my church friends, because it's a great-little, inexpensive book about being revived (something most Christians desperately desire these days). I also found that you do not have to read it in sequence, so it is a great-little 'companion' to take to work and read now and then, starting at whatever chapter interests you. A Christian classic.

What an awesome book! I have been a Christian practically all my life - 30+ years. A friend of mine gave me this book, and when I started reading, I didn't want to put it down. This is a wonderful book. It will certainly draw you closer to the Lord!

Excellent Book on Revival,
By Tekrat (Toledo, OH USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Experiencing Revival (Paperback)
This is a great book. The book is compilation of Finneys reasoning, methodology, partially application of church and personal revival. Every aspect of revival is explored including how: If your looking for a strong work on what a church revival is I strongly recommend this. I personally am a fundamentalist and found this book to be very useful and truthful.

Christian Revival,

This review is from: Experiencing Revival (Paperback)
I read this book because I am currently working with a group of Christians who want to conduct an area wide revival a couple of hours away from where I live. What better way to gain insight into how to do a revival than someone who led perhaps one of the greatest revivals in the US? The book was a real find for me and extremely helpful. First of all, Charles Finney points out that any Christian who wants to experience revival in others, must start with himself or herself first before expecting any revival in others. If we desire to see the Holy Spirit work with us, we must clean up our own lives first before we will see any change in other people we would like to see develop a closer relationship with Jesus. This principle is true whether working with unchurched unbelievers or other truly saved Christians. This book is worthwhile for any devoted follower of Jesus Christ who would like to see a return to following sound Christian doctrine in place of "watered down" Christianity present in many so-called churches today.
