5.0 out of 5 stars A classic!, December 25, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: How Far Shallow Takes You (Audio CD)
Every album that Gob release is great but How Far Shallow Takes You is probably their best. Foot In Mouth Disease, The World Accordng To Gob and F.U. E.P. are also very good! If we were living in a normal world, Gob would be known everywhere and s#!t like Good Charlotte and Simple Plan would dream that they can make the same type of masterpieces albums!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Second Album From Canada's Punks, October 10, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: How Far Shallow Takes You (Audio CD)
The first Gob album was great, and this one shows that some bands can still make albums better than their first. The songs are easy to remember, and catchy.. getting you to sing along after just a few times of listening. An excellent album!

5.0 out of 5 stars One punk rockin' album!, December 23, 1999
This review is from: How Far Shallow Takes You (Audio CD)
Gob is an awesome melodic punk band with meaningful lyrics. Sometimes they sound hardcore, in the style of Sick Of It All, and other times they sound softer like No Use For A Name. They definitely have a style of their own, though. The lyrics are usually about self-righteous people, confusion, and depression. If you are into Jughead's Revenge and/or Dropkick Murphys type of punk, you will probably like Gob. Even if you are not into that, buy the CD anyway-- it is a steal at its price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pop rock with talent, December 11, 2005
This review is from: How Far Shallow Takes You (Audio CD)
I will start by saying im a Metal Head pure and simple. Normally when it comes to Punk I stick with Misfits. But these guys truely posses talent! They actually play well, and the lyrical and vocal talent is superb. My fav jam off this is "Paint It Black" Yes a Rolling Stones cover. Its on one of the three different versions. I suggest music lovers in general to pick this up, THIS IS NOT MTV TRASH!!

5.0 out of 5 stars GOB ROCK MY SOCKS!, April 13, 2005
This review is from: How Far Shallow Takes You (Audio CD)
Gob is one of my favorite bands and this is one of my favorite records. A record where the words are as good as the jam. Also, check out "to late no friends" and "ass seen of T.V."

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, February 17, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: How Far Shallow Takes You (Audio CD)
This is Gob's best CD, if you want to get into this band I recommend starting with this CD.

Every song is good, I don't skip a single track.

My Top 3 tracks on this one are:

1. Together
2. Self Appointed Leader
3. Stand and Deliver

Also, Metallica fans (Like myself) will be sure to pick out the "Seek and Destroy" riff in "License From A Cereal Box."

Get this album, you won't be disappointed!
