Lacking energy and guidance from God? Fasting may free you for this goal. The book took me less than an hour to read. "How to Fast Successfully" served as a quick motivational tool to get in line with God. God's purpose for His creation is to glorify Him. Isaiah 43:7, Ephesians 1:12, Revelation 4:10-11. My own perception of the book gave the purpose of fasting to seek blessings from God.

This book is a blessing, for fasting Christians. Prince is a great Bible teacher, who reads acnient Bible languages. He sheds light to the Bible in a simple way. A greta man of God, and a wondeful book.

This book is short, concise and to the point. It is easy to read and I finished it in less than 2 hours. The principles are easy to apply and after reading this book, I now successfully fast at least one meal 3 times a week. My walk with God has experienced tremendous breakthrough, I even look forward to apply my fast to two meals a day.
Derek Prince is an anointed teacher and I thank God for this book.

How to Fast Successfully by Derek Prince is a straight to the point book on Biblical fasting and is small and concise. Its a very good book and Prince reveals the biblical principles of fasting and why Christians should fast.

I have read more comprehensive books on the subject of fasting (e.g. The Coming Revival: America's Call to Fast, Pray, and "Seek God's Face" - much extended fast and the ultimate 40 day fast), but they are much longer of this one and much is not necessary unless you are seasoned in this discipline - so this is the best book i have read on fasting to introduce you to the subject in an easy waffle-free manner and no pun intended!

It has been many years since I have read anything by Derek Prince. His writing is very helpful and practical on why we fast and how we fast as Christians, not to be seen by men for their approval by to draw close to the Lord Jesus and see things as He sees them and remembering the poor and the broken hearted as He does. Very quick read.

What is a fast? Are there more than one type of fast? Why should we fast? How do I start and end a fast? These and many other questions are addressed in this compact, but comprehensive guide to fasting. More in-depth than his book, FASTING, Derek Prince's book, HOW TO FAST SUCCESSFULLY, goes beyond mere introduction into the biblical and practical nuts-and-bolts of this powerful spiritual discipline.

Along with the aforementioned booklet and his other volume, SHAPING HISTORY THROUGH PRAYER AND FASTING, this book is an important addition to any minister or intercessor's library. If you know someone considering a fast for any reason, make sure they get a copy of this book first.

Was very disappointed this was just a small tract book, not a full size paperback book. Not worth the money asked for it.
