Since 1996, angel therapist Dr. Doreen Virtue has taught thousands of people how to connect, communicate, and heal with the angels. In the How to Give an Angel Card Reading Kit, Dr. Virtue gives instructions on consecrating and "clearing" a new deck, knowing when to stop shuffling, and laying out and interpreting a 3-card spread.

The kit comes in a sturdy, attractive box featuring a lid trimmed in shimmering gold fabric. The box measures approximately 5 ¾ X 5 ¾ inches and contains the Archangel Oracle Cards deck and Guidebook, as well as a DVD.

Oracle cards, says Dr. Virtue, are a "no-brainer" way to talk to heaven and that you can't make a mistake when using them. When giving a reading, "we are a telephone for heaven. We don't edit or censor the message, we just deliver it."

According to Dr. Virtue, angels answer the prayer of the heart, which is why cards may not seem relevant to the question asked. Individuals often ask they question they *think* they should ask, rather than what's really of concern to them. The angels, via the cards chosen, answer the question of the heart-not necessarily the question voiced to the reader.

The main instruction part of the DVD is 1 hour 8 minutes long and features ethereal background music from Steven Halpern's Gift of the Angels CD. After Dr. Virtue gives a 3-card Past/Present/Future reading for the viewing audience, she then goes on to give readings to four people. All of these readings were shot live and were unscripted. Dr. Virtue interpreted 3-card spreads according to specific questions dealing with life purpose, a love relationship, career, and a general question of "What would my angels like me to know today?"

The interview ran 8:39 minutes and I found it intriguing. The host asks Doreen to differentiate between schizophrenic hallucinations and seeing angels. Interestingly, they showed a clip from a UK workshop with Doreen. However, the hosts mentioned they weren't allowed to show clairvoyance-only the reactions of participants! During the interview, Doreen emphasized, "calling on the angels is the quickest way to healing".

How to Give an Oracle Card Reading Kit is a fine introduction to using Dr. Virtue's Archangel Oracle Cards and performing angel readings for yourself and others. However, if you already have the Archangel Oracle Deck and Guidebook, the only new element to this kit is the DVD. Dr. Virtue doesn't use a variety of spreads, demonstrate with her other decks, nor does she address incorporating and interpreting reversed images in a reading. Therefore, if you're already accustomed to giving basic Past/Present/Future readings and own the Archangel Oracle Cards, you may want to pass on this kit. Nevertheless, for those individuals new to angel card readings and the Archangel Oracle Cards, the How to Give an Angel Card Reading Kit is a lovely starter set for beginners.

I just received this set and was very much looking forward to getting it. I was a little disappointed by a couple of things: Firstly, that although you do get a deck of cards in the package, it is not in it's original form, i.e. it does not come in the artwork box same way you would get it if you bought the cards on their own in the shops, the dvd comes in a cardboard case type sleeve, which is fine but I am also baffled as to why the interview with Doreen on British show Richard & Judy (which I was so excited about watching) is recorded directly from a VHS tape and transferred to dvd with no brushing up! You see lines like when watching a video and when the programme ends you get all the fuzzy screen just like a video tape! An extremely poor quality recording and transfer indeed. Am disappointed with Hayhouse.

The actual programme itself with Doreen demonstrating how to give a reading is excellent and also perfect, normal DVD quality. It runs for almost a whole hour! What a treat! She has four different guests who she gives readings to after they have picked the cards. Doreen also talks about how to care for your cards and that everybody possesses the skills do give an Angel card reading.

After my little complaints, I still give this set a 5 star rating as I have been waiting for Doreen footage forever and am grateful they have released it. I hope they make more such sets of Doreen with DVD's and even more behind the scenes of this fascinating woman! It would also be great to have meditation dvd's with Doreen. Perhaps the Angel Medicine one. Hope your listening Hayhouse!

I've been using Doreen's other cards for myself and friends for awhile and always enjoyed them. When I saw that she had a DVD out with a card set to help with readings, I was ecstatic! I found the DVD very helpful with my readings and I love the cards that came with the DVD. I would recommend this to anyone that feels a little stuck with their readings.

Doreen Virtue has impressed me to the core. Since i have purchased the Angel Card reading kit, i have been able to tune in, follow my intuition and inner guidance. I have always wondered about angels, and Doreen has facilitate this for me. I really thank her for putting together such a beautiful, inspiring and creative product out there. I recommend it to all.

These are the first set of oracle cards I have used. The kit is wonderful, and the DVD that comes with it is very helpful for a first time oracle card uses like my self! I suggest all first time uses use this kit because it helps you see how to use these cards. But if you don't want to that is ok because you angels will guide you in usuing the cards. They are beauctiful! Doreen Virtue is a wonderful lady, who has dedicated alot to helping people work with the angels! Thank God and the angels for sending her to us! Angel blessings! God Bless!

if you love oracle cards. i use these cards for angelic guidance and find them amazingly accurate. when i seek guidance on an issue, the same cards turn up in daily readings for about 2 or 3 days in a row. they are truly magical and the deck is quite beautiful. these are my favorite cards and the messages are not only comforting, but provide confirmation of what i know to be true. the dvd provided with the kit is wonderful.

This is a super starter's kit for angel reading. You get the Archangel Deck and guidebook. You also get a DVD (about an hour of viewing time broken into short convenient segments). It all comes in a box with felt tray. The DVD has some great lessons from Doreen and you get to see quite a few sample readings performed by her on real people. Even if you are not a beginner, you might still enjoy the personal mini workshop with Doreen herself on the DVD.

I was very impressived with this DVD. I was afraid it would be short on substance but I was happily suprised. Doreen gives very good lengthy tips on how to give yourself and others a reading and then shows 4 examples of sample readings - career transition, love relationship, spirituality and a general open reading. By the time the DVD was over, I felt very comfortable to begin giving myself a reading and begin practicing on others.

Highly recommend.

I loved the Card Kit when I saw it. The cards are great to meditate with and to pray with. You can learn which Archangel to pray to for specific things that you may want. For example, abundance, love, prosperity, the possibilities are endless. And the Archangels are there to help you with anything you want. They and God want us to be happy, and they know that we will do great things for others in return.

This Kit is wonderful. The DVD is very easy to understand. I love it!
