I just got married on New Year's Eve, and my mother-in-law (who is totally cool) gave me a big stack of sex-instruction books as a wedding present. This was one of them among the pile, which also included "5 Minutes to Orgasm Every Time," "Satisfaction" by Kim Kattral, "The Bedside Kama Sutra" by Linda Sonntag, "9 Free Secrets of New Sensual Power" by Clint Arthur, and "Secrets of Sensual Lovemaking" by Tom Leonardi. I took the whole lot with me to Hawaii on our honeymoon, studied them thoroughly, and from my bride's reaction to the things I put into good use during our ten days in the tropics, I got an "A" on the final exam.

So here's what I learned, and a few bits of advice I have for anyone who is searching this category in earnest for some self-help in the area of mastering the skills of making love and making a woman scream with sexual ecstasy. #)1 There really is a lot of information available on how to be a MUCH better lover. One would think that sex is just sex, and that all these books are just a bunch of hype, but it's just not true. There's thousands of years of education and study in this field, and it can make a dramatic difference. To get a little personal, my wife and I were by no means virgins when we got married -- in fact, we'd been having what we both considered to be GREAT sex together for almost three years of dating and being engaged. But after I read these books and put the lessons into action, UNBELIEVABLE FIREWORKS went off for her and me both. So picking the right book out of this bunch can be a worthy investment of your time and efforts

2) There is a big difference between these books. Some are written by women, others by men, some are just about how to give HER pleasure, others are about the COUPLE getting pleasure. Choose what you are going to order very carefully. I would say that if you are a woman wanting to give pleasure to a woman you should pick one of the books by a female author, and if you are a man (or buying this book for a man) you should get one of the books by a man. Even though the text may be directed toward men, and the information may be what women want men to know, it's easier for a man to relate and understand the messages when he's hearing it from a man. So, for the women seeking advice on how to pleasure a female lover, go for Kim Cattral's, Lou Paget's or Linda Sonntag's books. But for men wanting to learn how to give women pleasure, get Tom Leonardi's or Clint Arthur's book. Those guys really know what they're talking about.

#3) No matter what Lou Paget says in her fine book "How to Give Her Absolute Pleasure", while I do think that a woman's pleasure is central to the issue of Great Sex, I don't think it can or should exist in a vacuum. And many women (luckily for me, my wife included) ENJOY giving pleasure to men. And there's much breakthru information on that available here as well. As long as you are getting one of these books, you should factor that into the equation as well, which is available only in Clint Arthur's book. So think about that.

#4) Lastly, sex can be such a powerful force. It creates bonds of intimacy and communication between lovers, and it can even have a powerful impact on most areas of a person's life, including one's health, wealth, and overall level of fulfillment. It's an awesome part of leading a rich life, and with the proper respect and amount of study, huge impacts can be achieved. Which is why I really advise all the men and women to look seriously at "9 Free Secrets of New Sensual Power" as THE choice above all the others in this category. As far as information is concerned, it has everything you'll find in all the other books, plus a whole lot more. But more importantly, it has a whole-life perspective on sex that none of the others delivers, and that will change your life much more than even the GREAT sex it will teach you how to enjoy.

Women are mysterious, or at least I always thought they were, but a soft, romantic light is shed on this mystery of feminine sexuality by Lou Paget's engaging, readable book. She covers everything from foot massage to massage of, well, more intimate body parts. But the proof will be with your partner, and mine says, "every woman should give this book to her lover." But smart men will buy it for themselves and just surprise her with all they know about what REALLY turns her on.

An excellent book, created out of experience from Lou Paget's seminars and workshops. The techniques are well explained and illustrated, the tone of writing is on a personal basis making the information easy to accept and apply. Of at least equal importance to the great variety and explanation of "how to" techniques, is the early discussion of setting the mood, consideration of caring approach , and simple "partner considerations" that do so much to pave the way to opening the mind for rewarding and exciting new fulfillment in sexual relationships. I sure recommend getting the first of Lou Paget's book, "How to be a Great Lover" to go with this (gift it to your partner!), they make a GREAT compliment to each other and makes a great mutual gift for the lady and gentleman in the relationship. From mood setting before the foreplay to the ultimate "breathtaking" inimacy and beyond, this is very worth reading and USING! We will continue to enjoy these books for a LONG time! This book has lots of good advice, and is definitely helpful. However, if you're looking for something specific with detailed explanations, keep looking. Most of the advice is simply advice such as "ask her what she wants," "get her comfortable," and "be safe." Specific techniques are rarely explained, and when they are the wording is confused and hard to follow (though occasionally the diagrams help).

Women can really be difficult to figure out when it comes to satisfying her. Well this book explains in detail on what your average woman likes. I don't think any other book comes close to this one. I have a copy of Women, Sex and Dating, For The Single Man and this too is one of the best, because it explains in detail on what she likes in the bedroom, but Paget's book is the best of them all.

Paget gives great advice on how to give a woman mutilple orgasms and how to put her in the mood. That was my biggest problem, how to put her in the mood. Much of this advice also comes from other women on what they like. How can you go wrong? If you want to know all about women and sex, without having to ask, read this.

Other books to read are Lesbian Sex Secrets, Women, Sex And Dating For The Single Man, The Art Of Kissing & I'm Not In The Mood; What Every Woman Should Know About Improving Her Low Libido (The BEST book to read if you are with a woman with no sexual desire).

I bought this book a while back and never read it. Recently, I began reading it and trying the different suggestions on my girlfriend as I came across them in the book. This started driving her really wild. I knew a lot of the things covered in this book but never considered the various possible approaches to doing these things, e.g., building anticipation in a female. There are so many ways to do this. I told my girlfriend about the book and she plans on buying three for her brother-in-laws! This is a thorough, entertaining, and enlightening book that can assist about any man in correcting common misconceptions about sexuality and making the woman in his life happier.

Lou Paget is right on the money about how to treat a woman with respect, deference, and with a desire to please her. This book, importantly, works on two levels - the emotional and the 'technical.' Whatever your experience, this book can answer your questions. Read it, guys, and Love Your Lady better!

This book is "interesting" it makes broad (pun intended) general assertions. There was nothing really new in it. Anybody who has had a decent relationship since the 1960's probably knows the majority of what she has to offer. There are better books out there... Don't get me wrong...it's not a bad book if you know nothing...other than 1 position....and don't care about your partner's pleasure...but the information she presents was very basic. No real technique or helpful hints. Maybe that's the way it is suppose to be...since every woman is different...and each has her own "orgasmic fingerprint"... maybe one can only offer broad suggestions...but there wasn't very much meat to this book. The Author takes the perspective that most men are insensitive...and only care about penal entry... but it wasn't too over the top as to be offensive in my opinion.

So...take it with a grain of salt... I would suggest another book...or at least go and look at in the store first..before buying it here. The price reduction makes the purchase here much easier to swallow.

This book includes hard-to-find techniques on foreplay and discusses it in a clear, easy to follow and fun manner. Paget's insights are hilarious and the techniques will prove success in the bedroom. The emphasis on foreplay, overlooked in manuals as well as in the bedroom, is a breakthrough in sexual information. Foreplay, terribly important indeed...especially considering that most men are willing to spend 15 minutes warming up their automobile engines, yet completely ignorant regarding the needs of their partners. I think they could dedicate at least one evening to reading this book and learning how to warm up their partners.

This is the first book I have read by Lou Paget, but it will not be the last. And I would buy this book again if a buddy swiped it. Now for the rest of you that likes to know what is inside a book. The book has nine chapters and is 234 pages long, 240 counting the Bibliography. The Chapters for the most part are not named as listed below, but to tell about the chapter in a few words.

Chapter One: covers a bit about how the author got into this and why she wrote the book, and that she will coach you to mutual bliss. It then goes on to explain some of the misconceptions of sex. Basically, empty your glass of the knowledge you think you have and she will fill it with new knowledge.
Chapter Two: Covers: Safety, Choosing a condom, Types of, and Information Resources.
Chapter Three: Covers what your mother tried to teach you, how to court the lady, and the first stages of foreplay. Then it gets into how to relax her and how to get her mind off of work, ect.
Chapter Four: How to: "Kiss Her, Touch Her, Tease Her" this covers the whole body including massaging and a little bit of Reflexology, foot massaging and the pressure points in the foot.
Chapter Five: Covers her action spots, ways to touch her, and lubrication.
Chapter Six: "The Art of Tongue: Leading a Woman to Rapture"
Chapter Seven: Types of Toys
Chapter Eight: Types of Miss O. even a few pages on Mr. O.
Chapter Nine: Making connections, positions for intercourse, and positions while pregnant.

First off I like knowing who is going to try and teach me something, and I respect that she came right out with the safety stuff. Better there than at the end of the book when it is too late. I am even going to try a couple of the different condoms. My mother was raised in the south so I got an earful of the first half of Chapter Three, just some good ole common sense. The make her relax and listen to her, did get old. I wanted to say "but what about me?" This book is about pleasing her remember? Chapter Four: Again What about me?? Heck, if you feel that way, get into the tub or shower with her. If your in good shape maybe she will enjoy giving you a massage (headed to the gym BRB). Chapter Five: My High School Biology books did not cover this in this much detail. I have seen this covered in a few other books and some of the nicer instructional books did not cover this part of the female anatomy as well. But the location of the G-spot should have been shown as well as being written. Chapter Six: What can I say? It has stuff that I knew, stuff that I did with out thinking about it, and stuff that I will try. Chapter Seven: Covers a range of toys that might be fun to have in your toy box, enough said. Does not cover S&M or B&D toys. Chapter Eight: Covers Types of Miss O., the female cycle, timing, and Mr. O. Chapter Nine: A good sampling of positions, and for some positions explained some of the advantages for that position.
Almost every section has pointers some are pretty vague i.e. some women like this while others hate it. Give the writer a break this is written for millions of woman out there. Just take one to the Ice Cream store and see what she likes, see what I mean? Low blow, but I am trying to have fun isn't that what sex is about?
