Book Description

December 1, 1998 0335200249 978-0335200245 1
This book is for motivated students who are committed to achieving the best degree they can, and for students who need help tapping into their potential.
A good degree is a passport to a better life. It opens up career choices and enhances earning potential. More than anything else, a good degree brings freedom to choose, to change direction, and to follow up interesting options. Whether you go on to further study or not, people will still look at whether your first degree was a good one.

So how do you get a good degree? Is it all a matter of luck? Is it hard work?

This book features practical tasks to help you discover:
* Why you want a good degree and what you need to do to achieve it
* How to develop effective study habits
* How to make the most of available resources - time, people, learning materials

There are no short-cuts to working hard, but there are short-cuts to make sure the hard work you do is the right hard work.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"...at the digestible end of the spectrum of academic style and language - the 11 chapters all stand alone in their own right and are easy to dip into, but they also work well together as a collection." - ROOF
