From the Back Cover

Every time you get your hopes up, they come crashing down––shattering like broken promises. You crumble under the weight of your own disappointment. In despair, you cry out to God, "Why don't You do something? I need your help! Will You ever save my husband?"

This is the heart–wrenching cry of a Christian woman whose husband doesn't know Christ as his Savior and Lord. A great spiritual gulf separates them. It is difficult to agree on day–to–day decisions, let alone larger questions. Everyday life becomes a lonely and painful existence.

Linda Davis lived in this difficult situation for fifteen years as she prayed and waited for her husband to become a Christian. Her pain came not only because her husband wasn't saved, but also because very few people in the church knew how to help her during her struggle. Yet understanding how to cope with this situation is crucial for a wife's own spiritual health and for strength to endure the strain she is under. Drawing from personal experience and biblical wisdom, Linda Davis describes how you can:

* Be happy in spite of your circumstances
* Understand your husband's point of view
* Witness to your husband without saying a word
* Release your husband to God
* Rely on God's perfect timing for your husband's salvation
* Understand what God means by submission
* Deal with rejection and hostility
* Be set free from worry and guilt

The Christian wife of an unsaved husband has a special ministry that no one else can fulfill. Linda Davis explains how to minister to your husband while living a rewarding life both spiritually and personally. This book will benefit any woman who desires a deeper spiritual life for both her husband and herself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Book On the Subject, November 8, 2001
I've read several books,on both the subjects of being spiritually single and on submission, and this is the best one so far! It imbued me with the courage to get back in there and continue to pray for/encourage/stand by/stay with my unsaved husband. Rather than lay heavy guilt trips (like so many books of this genre do) on an already deeply burdened heart, this book lifts the burden off and gives a well-deserved pat on the back of women who are, in many instances, the only ones praying for these men. I credit this woman with picking me up when I was about to veer off the path and with being a part of the future (hopefully) salvation of my husband. Great, great book! I highly recommend it.

Addendum to this review: approximately 1 year ago, my husband gave his life to the Lord...so hang in there, women. Keep on praying!

5.0 out of 5 stars Life Saver!, January 19, 2006
This review is from: How To Be Happy Wife Of An Unsaved Husband (Paperback)
Wow does this book hit the nail on the head!! I recommend it to every woman that is saved and is struggling because her husband is not. I just gave my copy to a fellow sister a few days ago, but have already decided to buy another copy to keep around for the powerful prayers and insight it contains. The author personally went through years of devastation in her own experiences with her unsaved husband (you'll think she's talking about YOUR marriage!). I'd thank Mrs. Davis for writing this book in person if I could! :D

5.0 out of 5 stars Wish I had found this book sooner..., February 17, 2008

Had I found this book sooner, I wouldn't have sit thru many Sunday services in church, in tears, worrying about my husband's salvation. You'll learn that it's NOT your fault he's not a Christian yet. This book helps me to realize the right ways to bring your spouse to Christ by being a good example yourself. Pushing him (or her) into going to church with you is more likely to create resentment towards Christianity and towards you. The book helps me to stop the hurt in my heart, and to start being happy and hopeful. I hope it'll do the same for you. By they way I got this book from a local Christian book store.
