5.0 out of 5 stars REAL info without the flimsy "fluff" I've found in others
I found MUCH BETTER, MUCH MORE SPECIFIC, MUCH MORE CLINICAL help in this book!I LOVE it! It makes a lot of sense, and really helps to clarify a lot of the "fuzziness" we women have about our bodies and how we can enjoy maximum results. It's written in "laywomen's" terms, and the author does not pretend to be something she is not. I didn't feel...

2.0 out of 5 stars A few unique tips, probably not worth the $14 that I paid
It's interesting to hear other people's experiences in a non-clinical format. The author offers a few tips that might work for a subset of women. However, you have to wade through a lot of ignorant, offensive comments along the way. It's less irritating if you keep in mind that she's just sharing her opinions and there might be some useful information in there even if you...

It's written in "laywomen's" terms, and the author does not pretend to be something she is not. I didn't feel disappointed or "flim-flammed" with this book as I did with others that don't get specific and instead just say, "masturbate, marsturbate, masterbate." This book goes well beyond that step.

5.0 out of 5 stars This was the answer...., April 19, 2004

This review is from: How to Have a No-Hands Orgasm: Having Orgasms Through Intercourse (Paperback)
I've read so many books over the years that did not help me achieve an orgasm through penetration only. I'm 37 and had gotten to a point where I figured I would never have one. I had my first hands-free orgasm after reading this book. Other books stress masturbation or trying different angles which never worked for me. After so many years of frustration, I'm grateful to have found this book so I highly recommend it.

It's interesting to hear other people's experiences in a non-clinical format. The author offers a few tips that might work for a subset of women. However, you have to wade through a lot of ignorant, offensive comments along the way. It's less irritating if you keep in mind that she's just sharing her opinions and there might be some useful information in there even if you don't agree with her. The author states up front that she is not a specialist but rather someone offering a summary of her own experiences/insights. She essentially approaches orgasm as a non-personal pursuit of pleasure. This book would NOT be appropriate for someone looking for intimacy/spiritual growth. The author encourages women to be selfish and put their needs ahead of their partner (she contends that men do all the time). It almost seems as if she sees sex as a battle to see who can grab the most pleasure. Not the stuff romance is made of, but more of an attempt to be very practical in addressing sexual needs/desires. There are a few tips on muscle tensing and position that are unique and helpful. Also, she doesn't fall back on the tired subject of "masturbation as the answer-all". No fluffy stuff (candles, sexy attire etc.) either. All in all, if you can get a cheap copy, it might be worth adding to your library. I think for most women it won't hold all the answers but could add a few more pieces to the puzzle.
