As a reader from Upstate New York (where winters are very cold and where thoughts of "Sex In The Woods" keep us warm)I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Colombo's entertaining book. The reader from Pacific NW really missed the point of the whole book. It's not to be read as a manual, but rather a light hearted (tongue-in-cheek) book that certainly offers good advice on a subject most of us are interested in, but also keeps you amused along the way. My thanks to the author for sharing some great ways to rev up a tired sex life!!!! We're off to the woods next weekend!

I bought this book as the "perfect gift", and was thumbing through it before I gave it away. I couldn't put it down! (Darn book kept me up 'til 3 am!) You've got to read this book. Colombo's anecdotes were engaging, and hysterical. I honestly laughed until I cried! It's an informative, lighthearted approach to something that just doesn't happen "naturally", unless you read this book and plan accordingly!

I just saw this book last weekend it was given as part of a bridal gift to the maid of honor who is a big camper. I thought the book was funny and couldn't believe some of the ideas. I think it is a cute book for any of your outdoorsy friends.

I can't be quite sure what to make of receiving this book as a gift, not being much of a person to be roughing it in places where the sun don't shine. But a quick skim had me smiling. Imagine instructions to make out a hammock (delicately of course), to keep your sleeping bag dry, and some erogenous games to play in the "woods", even if that means your own backyard. Guess it makes for a pretty fun gift for "back to nature" friends and as such it's a good laugh. Don't expect to end up becoming Fabio.

A friend told me about this book. It manages to be both interesting and informative and provides a wealth of useful information--like the ABCs of romantic dining al fresco, what to pack in your safe sex first aid kit, and how to protect yourself from bugs without poisoning your partner--while keeping the tone lighthearted and sexy. Can't wait to try out some of this stuff on my next camping trip.

Although the author's bio stated she was NOT an expert sex counselor, she has obviously done this before! I read this book in preparation for a trip to the Canadian Rockies, where I hope to do a lot of hiking and have some fun! While some of the advice was commonsense, other items make you sit up, take notice and think things through a little longer than your hormones would. I also loved the recipes, just the thing to round out a great week in the outdoors. I'll definely recommend this to fellow camper/hikers/outdoors people!

This book is a lot of fun! Filled with interesting information. I highly recommend it, especially as a gift to hikers

I picked up this book as a gag gift, and it served its purpose well. As an actual resource, though, it's pretty weak. The author (an expert sex counselor) offers advice that ranges from the obvious to the silly: If you lay on the forest floor, watch out for sharp twigs; if you're on the beach, remember that the sand can sometimes be hot. As filler, she's included recipes for camping food to take along, including an avocado dip. Great title, but seems the author was stretching to come up with content.

No real information here. I guess that says a lot about my lifestyle and love for nature. A good read to just give opportunity for reflection upon current practices and maybe even some ideas.

Since the two of us our avid wilderness campers I thought this would be an important book for us. It caught our eye at the bookstore and we new we had to have it.

For the most part the book contained little that we had not already known. There is no doubt some good practical ideas are brought up. For the die hard "rough it" camper the book is more for entertainment. It is a fun book. For the occasional Jellystone camper one should find it more pertinent. Although the book is meant for the outdoorsmen miles from home, we find that time restraints would forgo its use.
