This book is a shorter, simpler version of Divine Revelation, complete with a bound-in CD that will take you on the deepest meditation you have ever had. Not only that, but you will actually EXPERIENCE wholly encompassing, mind-blowing, transformative contact with God! What could be better than that? Seriously?

You will learn the metaphysics of what happens to your consciousness as you descend into deeper and deeper contact with Spirit, and then you will experience just that in the meditation. You will learn the basic blocks that keep us from communing with God, and how to heal them!

This author speaks from experience. Not only has she meditated for years on both the mystical and experiential levels, she has helped literally thousands to meditate on both levels as well. As a truth seeker myself, I have always been looking for more effective forms of spiritual communication, but have always been concerned about the source I was contacting. What type of entity is answering my questions? Is it a former human, an angel, a demon, an impersonator, an alien or an advanced spiritual being? What are the entity's motives for communicating with me? Does it want to inform me, enlighten me, deceive me, or possess me? Every type of scenario is addressed in this book. Susan lays out, step by step, how to safely reach and interact with the desired type of entity. She teaches how to expose impersonators, how to neutralize negative entities, how to heal and redirect annoying entities and how to repeatedly contact the highest, positive spirits. No hype here. This is not a critical analysis of "How to Hear the Voice of God", rather I'm going to write about how Susan Shumsky's work and writing has changed my life. I have read all of her books and found very helpful, insightful, encouraging information in every one of her books!
I was at a spiritual crossroads (though I didn't know it at the time) when I heard her speak at my locally owned bookstore in April 2005. She was very genuine, articulate and erudite. I purchased her "Divine Revelation" book and couldn't put it down. It was manna from heaven for my soul! My religious rearing as a protestant gave me a belief in divine guidance in my life. However, I was experiencing the feeling that I had "out grown" much of my childhood "practice" of religion. I believe I attracted Susan's teachings because I was ready for a "different approach to God" something that felt like I was in direct contact with Jesus. I sang hymns all my life that talk about having a personal relationship with Jesus and so I prayed to God that I wanted that same personal connection with Jesus too! That is when Susan's teachings came into my life!
Susan's approach to helping you develop your personal practice of being one with the ALL THAT IS, is, in fact, a mystical initiation in a book! She spent twenty plus years practicing an eastern Indian approach to God connection before she was lead to bring this information and practical tools out to the world through her writings and seminars so that we all can experience the divine within ourselves. As so many of us are experiencing being drawn to spiritual awakening, Susan's written guidance was the perfect tool for me to create the connection within me to connect with Jesus, as well as any christed light being. ANYONE that believes they CAN cultivate DIRECT CONNECTION with God can do just that with Susan's material. I love the way HOW TO HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD provides ten tests of spiritual discernment, which help to ensure that you really are talking with God, and not some lesser spiritual entity. Instructions for what to do in the event any of these ten tests fail allow you to reconnect with Spirit. Once you have completely read the book, you can then play the companion meditation CD which is packaged in the inside back cover of this paperback book. The meditation CD allows readers to more easily make the transition from simply reading a book to taking the first steps to open dialogue with God.

I highly recommend HOW TO HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD for anyone who is genuinely interested in opening a two-way dialogue with God for feeling greatly expanded sense of divine love, free from judgment and guilt, with healing comfort and genuine divine revelation of an intensely relevant, practical, inspirational and uplifting feeling.

I bought this book from Barnes & N. The content of the book is good but not that great. The CD is what disappointed me the most. The voice in the audio CD is not very soothing. There's part that gives you few moments of silence..then she goes "PEACE" with high pitch tone. It made me jumped every time. It was very disappointing. I've been looking for a more relaxing and soothing meditation audio CD. Can anyone recommend something better?

There is an old adage that I'll put as laconically as possible: If you can't dazzle `em with brilliance, baffle `em with bull$%it.....The truth of the matter, from my perspective is; I have no idea which side of the equation (i.e. brilliance or Bulls*&t) this book belongs too. Yes, Dr. Shumsky certainly captured my attention, and the more attention I gave to this book the more I wanted to give. If this book is in fact "brilliance in prose" then Susan has written a manual on the art of Being Transformation (there is a subtle double entendre there - think about it......) If, on the other hand, this book is drivel, then Susan is an exceptional sales woman, whom is out to line her pockets, not help her brothers and sisters attain their divine right to God communion.

This book is marvelously detailed, complete with tables and charts that satiated even my ensconced attitude toward description, analyses and dissection. I found the affirmations to be joyful and empowering and the lessons rampant with knowledge & wisdom. The pudding that one will find the proof in, I think, is the accompanying CD which is a guided meditation that purportedly will aid its listeners to the goal of God communication. I have not listened to this product yet as I want to do so alone, with no distractions, in the proper ambiance - good luck to me......

Clearly written and edited, this book warrants and shall receive 5 stars from me, with the proviso that upon "sufficient study" this book and companion CD delivers what it says it can. I shall endeavor to internalize and practice it's ostensible wisdom. Again 5 stars.

An outstanding text and cd combo. If you are truly ready to connect with your supreme being, diligently applying this practice will help you get there.

I think the content is good,however,her voice is very high pitched and not soothing at all.in all her programs she repeats the same story,in exactly the same words all the time.she tries too hard to be funny and it sounds ridiculous.I get rather bored after a while.keep in simple and gentle,then she will have a gem in her hands.

I love susan shumsky books because you get result from using them. She def is no fluffy bun, when it comes to spirituality. I have seen lots of result from using her methods of prayers and meditations.
