Beautiful and thought provoking, March 31, 1999
This review is from: How Heavy the Breath of God (Texas Poets, No 5) (Paperback)
Not shy or shallow at all, this collection of poetry is for anyone who loves hard hitting intensely image-driven poetry.

A Spiritual Sensuousness, November 8, 2003
This review is from: How Heavy the Breath of God (Texas Poets, No 5) (Paperback)
Sheryl St. Germain explores faith, life, and .... against the backdrop of Latin America. Her poems have a sinuous grace, pulling the reader in with words that roll off the tongue. One can imagine being in Ecuador, Guatamala, and the Mayan ruins. One can imagine being part of the jungle. It is a book that I return to time and time again.
