Taking it into consideration,
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Hide Things in Public Places (Paperback)
Ill keep it short and sweet. You pretty much need to take the entire books contents into consideration... the book breathes a lot of creativity into the subject... especially since from my knowledge of police work I know that you dont want to hide them in incredibly obvious hiding places everyone would pick. If you are going to read this book its a good idea to add your own creativity and not limit yourself to just these places. also a note on the combinations you have to be patient and trial and error sometimes is the only way to figure things out but usually patience is rewarded not only was the previous review not helpful it was harmful....

Hiding is good,
By A O Cazola (Toronto, Ontario Canada) - See all my reviews

I picked up this book on a whim. I have never felt the need to hide many things, even less so to hide them in public places; yet this book has come in handy. It comes complete with handy diagrams and useful ideas. Some of the suggestions in this book have proven to be extremely useful...who knew, for example, that fenceposts are such excellent hiding places. How to Hide Things in Public Places comes off a little earnest perhaps, but still maintains its usefulness and usability.

Its not bad, alot of common sense in there.... like alot of it. But he does tell you how things worked out for him, thats pretty good if you ask me. If you like books like this, your gonna like it. I might go with some books on caching also with this purchase. Modern Weapons Caching & How To Bury Your Goods Not alot else to say you cant find out and read in the other reviews. If your like me (check out my other reviews) your gonna like this book. You just never know when these skills and this knowledge might come in useful.

About as helpful as a three legged dog,

Frankly, I don't need a book to tell me how to hide things in public. Yet, I read this book thinking that maybe it could teach me something new. Man, was I wrong. If you think that reading this book will teach you how to hide anything, think again. All of the hiding places suggested in this book are very specific to certain items. If you want to know how to hide something as small as a key or a slip of paper, then this book will suggest alot of obvious hiding places (such as under stair cases and behind vending machines) The problem is that this book does not tell you how to hide anything bigger than a tennis ball. If you want to hide an envelope, then read this book, but if you want to hide something three dimensional, then I suggest looking elsewhere for info. And as for the stuff about the lock combinations, I had an easier time understanding the instructions on how to program my VCR. If the idea of hiding your house keys in a bathroom hand-dyer at Dennys sounds like brillance to you, then buy this book. But if you are looking for real, useful, easy to follow instructions, skip this lame book and just buy one of those fake books that is really a safe.
