5.0 out of 5 stars A must-read for lovers of american politics, hollywood and all the drama in between, November 23, 2010
This review is from: How Hollywood Killed JFK: Starring Elvis Presley John Wayne and Frank Sinatra - A Twisted Tinseltown Tale of Power, Greed & Revenge. (Paperback)
Whether you're a fan of Elvis, John Wayne, Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe or Kennedy, this book brings to life the characters that we all know and love - only better, they are all interconnected in a scandalous and brilliant story that turns every theory upside down - about who actually killed JFK. You know a good author when the truth in their writing shocks you to your core, provoking an "oh my god" moment where the irony makes you laugh and gasp at the same time. For someone like me who wishes they lived in the hay-day of American Hollywood, this book wraps you up in the times and will soon become a favorite. Whether you love books about conspiracy theory, politics, history, satire or romance, this one has it all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great romp through another era, December 2, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: How Hollywood Killed JFK: Starring Elvis Presley John Wayne and Frank Sinatra - A Twisted Tinseltown Tale of Power, Greed & Revenge. (Paperback)
This is a great romp through a time long ago. A great cast of characters portrayed with authenticity, I often felt I was in the room with them. The facts laced throughout were facinating and shed more light on a facinating era. Fact and fun were intertwined in a unique story. Job well done.
I loved this! When can we expect another?

5.0 out of 5 stars Time for a new view on the JFK assassination, November 23, 2010
This review is from: How Hollywood Killed JFK: Starring Elvis Presley John Wayne and Frank Sinatra - A Twisted Tinseltown Tale of Power, Greed & Revenge. (Paperback)
Joe Burke weaves a very entertaining and twisted tale about the Kennedy assassination. I felt like I was right there with each of the characters with their lead-up to that day that is seared in our nation's collective memory, and curiosity. I felt the same tensions and thrills they felt.

Little did I know just how much of a role those in the entertainment industry might have had in such an historical event. It makes those entertainers today, who merely go to Capital Hill to testify for their favorite causes, pale in comparison with the actions set forth in this tale by the greats, like Elvis and the Chairman of the Board.

This is a great holiday gift for anyone you know who is fascinated by the Kennedy assassination, or who was a big fan of the old Hollywood and its stars.

I think that this was a great freshman effort by Joe, and expect and wait for future tales from him. Perhaps what really happened with Lincoln's assassination? Whatever this next effort, I'm sure it will as enjoyable a read as this one.
