Ok for a quick read and general beginnings,
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Homeschool (Yes, You!) (Paperback)
This short little book is fine to give generalities of getting started in homeschooling. It does make the reader feel like "you can do this." However, as far as being very helpful in the specifics of getting starting, one must go further. This was the first book I read on homeschooling and I was left feeling, "Well, that was nice. Now where do I go from here?"

After reading this book, I believe I can actually homeschool. I was pleased that the book was small but didn't cost a lot. I found it to answer my questions and very helpful in some of my reasoning about homeschooling. I am interested in the religious aspects along with the advantages over school. It is a great first book if you are wondering if homeschooling is for you. The author gives some basic facts and explains the main idea to homeschooling along with pointing you in the right direction. Great book.

I ordered this and thank goodness it was only a couple of dollars. The author seems to side with the Christian thinking process of homeschool which is fine (I'm not interested in the religious reasons) and I noticed it in her writing. She also mentions names and political facts...again, I could care less. She does confirm and answer some questions but it's a very thin book, slightly thicker than a pamphlet, maybe a booklet. There are better books out there that will answer the same questions with much more information.
