5.0 out of 5 stars Fun evening for a group event, October 12, 2010

This review is from: How to Host a Murder - An Affair to Dismember (Toy)
We had a blast playing this murder mystery game as a group of 8 adults. It's a little racy for anyone under 13--if it was a movie, i'd rate it PG for mild sexual innuendo. We were able to easily assemble makeshift costumes from leftover Halloween decor and everyone in our group really got into the spirit of the characters. The plot is not cookie cutter predictable but the game does a decent job of providing leading questions to ask, enough to have key plot points hammered home. I found the character names and bios to be clever and funny: Glumda, the wicked witch of depressed. Asthmadeus, Prince of Dimness. Pharaoh Aldrinktotat, egyptian mummy. We had an enjoyable 3-4 hrs eating dinner and playing this game, and we will purchase future murder mystery dinner parties based on this experience.

This was as fun as any other How To Host A Murder parties me & my wife have thrown. Particularly great for halloween! But when it says 'Affair' it means it. Every one slept w/ every one at one point. I felt good I hadn't brought this on over for the church adult halloween party!

This being the second time i've played this game it was much better than the first. I think because everyone knew the gist of it. Saying that the couple of people who were new to it picked it up quickly. I would definately recommened this game to anyone who likes a bit of mystery, guessing and accusations. It's like a real life game of cluedo minus having to move around different rooms. The only down side is once you have played it you cant play it again, unless you have a really bad memory and forget who the 'murderer' actually is. I will definately be buying another How To Host a Murder just a different episode.
