I must admit that as a long time fan I was bit disappointed that so many of the tracks were re-releases but overall I was quite happy with the CD. How I Got Over and No Not One are Vickie at her best. Swoop reminds me a bit of CeCe Winans but I like it. Release It was so powerful and Heyy is a sure-fire hit single! I have liked Suddenly for many years and never thought it got the play it deserved and I like that Alive, Alive was re-mixed from the last CD although I didn't really think it nor You're Still My Sister needed to be here since they were on the last album but I enjoyed them anyway. Overall a great CD. I love Vickie!

Vickie is undoubtedly one of gospel's premier vocalists and sets the standard for many contemporary artists trying to make it onto the scene. She's been making remarkable records from the get-go and this is no exception. Although the fact that half the tracks listed on this album are from previous releases, only her most seasoned fans will find that a disappointment. After 25 years, Vickie can still blow! Every new track is absolutely outstanding. From the church-hoppin and funky' "How I Got Over" to the tearful ballad "Release It;" she proves she's here to stay. Not only does her voice still sound great,(kudos @ the high note @ the end of "Heyy") but, she still really knows how to minister a song. By the way, the songs "Swoop" and "Dance Til' The Walls Fall Down" have stayed on repeat on my stereo system...lol

This is a great CD by a great gospel artist. How I got over is my favorite song. If you want a blessing get this cd

I really enjoy this album, I believe that Vickie is back at the top of her game with this one. She really has some heart felt songs on this album and after listening to it you can't but love the Lord and her too! Great job Vickie!!!!!

Vickie Winans delivers a dynamic album with 'How I Got Over'. The title soundtrack is upbeat and she put her signature vibrancy in it along with her scatting nephew. 'Release It' is empowering and heartfelt as well 'You're Still My Sister'. 'Swoop' makes you smile and gets your attention with it's unique sound and 'Dance Till The Walls Comes Down' takes you prisoner by surprise and won't release you until you do that step with my gurl! The last two tracks of this awesome album are emotionally charged as well as spirit lifting! This is an amazing cd as a whole, I enjoy it from start to finish!

Ms. Winans did a superior job with this cd! It is my first time purchasing her music although I've always liked her style. She has a captivating personality that enchants you as I witnessed with her interviewing on The Mo'Nique Show. This really prompted me to purchase her cd and I'm glad about it! One of my best musical purchases! Kudo's to Ms. Winans' and a shout out to my gurl Mo'Nique. 4.78****

Vickie continues to be an inspiration to gospel lovers everywhere. You don't have to be a christian to enjoy her music. It's beautiful and should be shared with the everyone.

Up to this point, I had not been a Vickie Winans fan. But, it was something about the song "How I Got Over" that caught my attention. After listening to the CD, I found it to be uplifting, upbeat and right on time for this point in my life. I also especially like "Suddenly" as it encompasses how the Lord will suddenly appear and change things in your life that you know you couldn't have done alone. And, with Vickie's sultry voice added to the soulful, jazzy beat, it is sure to become a favorite. I am now a fan.

My husband loves Vickie, so if she makes it...we buy it. She is very creative and annointed. But this CD.
