5.0 out of 5 stars The book that changed my quilting history
I had almost given up on quilting by hand because I just wasn't satisfied with the results I got. I had resigned myself to being a machine quilter only, when I happened on this book at a quilt show. Thinking I had nothing to lose, I bought it, took it home, read it, practiced Ami's techniques for a few hours and I've never looked back. No matter how many people had...

2.0 out of 5 stars Blah!
I am quite disappointed with this book. It may or may not contain useful information, but I won't ever know. The text is too large for the page size, the paper on which the text is printed looks rough and yellowed, and the drawings are just rough line sketches that are really hard to make out. Everything about the book is so unattractive and boring that it's just too...

No matter how many people had tried to show me how to hand quilt, or how many other books I had read on the subject, no one laid it out as clearly and concisely, step-by-step, as Ami. I've since gone on to make many quilts-all hand-quilted- with stitches I'm proud to say have been admired by many! So if you're new to quilting,or even if you're not, this book is an absolute must for every quilter's bookshelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quilting Stitch, December 12, 2009

This is the only book I have found that tells you step by step how to "quilt" a quilt. All the others just tell you about how to sew the pieces together. I am so thankful that I have this book.
