Some good tips and some bad installation information,
By Peter J Vlaun (dutchvlaun@aol.com) (Ft Lauderdale, Fl, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: How to Install Marble & Stone Flooring (Paperback)
The book contains some good tips, but the actual installation information is very sketchy and does not cover the installation of stone tile larger than 12" x 12". The book recommends installing marble using the thin set method, most installers use the mud bed method. I think the author read some books on the subject but does not appear to have any real hands on experience. If this book was sold for $3 it would be worth it. It is definatly over priced for the information it contains. I am a General Contractor and a Construction Manager with 30 years hands on experience.

How To Install Marble and Stone flooring,
By Mike Stone (Columbus, OH) - See all my reviews
This review is from: How to Install Marble & Stone Flooring (Paperback)
I am a stone supplier and would like to thank the author for writing this book. While it does not cover all methods, it does cover the simplist and most popular method of installation for the do-it yourselfer. We recommend this book to all our customers who want to install their own stone tile.
