How to Know,
This review is from: How to Know (Paperback)
Outstanding book. Isn't a book of What to Know. The author, former editor of the Encyclopedia Britannica (?), provide what the world needs. A humane and civil explanation of how we come to "know" what we see, hear, taste, feel. Added value in the suggestions for the processing of what supposed "experts" tell us. I'd not only recommend that anyone buy it; I'd urge it!
I'm not only over 13; I'm a retired professor with over 40 years of teaching. The 7 copies I bought were sent to all my college-age grandchildren. A complementary book: How to Lie with Statistics! Get them both; get smarter!

This is a witty, intelligent book that will keep you on your toes while reading it. I enjoyed it very much. Mr. McHenry has an excellent writing style which entertains as it informs.
