As an HR Director with wine industry experience, I can vouch that this book provides great tips that work to get you experience and education for breaking into and launching a sucessful career in the wine industry.
This is a "one of a kind" guide full of practical advice on how to break into one of the best industries that really works.

I love this book! It breaks down many sections of the wine industry with clear details on what job descriptions can be, what kind of background or education you might need, what resources you need for the sectors of the industry you are interested in, how to find jobs, and what to do and what not to do. At the end of the book there is a practical section or an "action plan" to help outline the reader's next steps for getting into the wine industry. Besides the resources, my favorite part was reading stories from people in the wine industry. I recommend the book!

Hey, this book is cool! I've been designing winery websites for years and really love it. I even found my job described on p. 318, but what is nice about this book is it describes what I need to do if I want to break into the Marketing and PR function within a winery. Very practical.

This is a very useful book. I was a little concerned that the material would be too US centric whilst reading the first few pages - being based in Australia I was looking for something that would give a good level of general industry information with international relevance. My concern was unfounded as the book is full of ideas, advice and examples of people who have already made it in their area of the wine industry. The examples are US based but are also relevant to an international audience. For me, not having a real mentor in the industry, the insights provided in the book were illuminating and answered a lot of questions that I was struggling to find answers to. The book is also practical, guiding you through the creation of an action plan that will get your wine career moving. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to make a move into the wine industry.

As an avid wine enthusiast living in California, I've been interested in the wine industry for years. It is great to finally find a book that explains all of the jobs available, and very useful for someone who is considering make a career shift. Highly recommended!

I had to write a masters paper for my International Business Class concerning the wine industry. I had just about every wine book from every major library shipped to my university and found this book to be the most helpful. Right now it is 3 months later and I am in Petroio, Tuscany working full time in all operations of a major vineyard and am loving it. I hope everyone is as lucky. I can assure you that this book will assist you in identifying and obtaining your dream job in the wine industry faster than any other book. Hello, I purchased "How to launch your wine career" by Liz Thach and
Brian Emillio through Amazon.com. I must tell you I LOVE THIS BOOK! I
have been contemplating a career change in to the wine world, my
passion, for such a long time, but didn't know how to get there from
here. I must say, this book has given me the information I need to make
my decision. I have decided to return to school for the necessary
education and relocate to a popular wine region. Also, I have been able
to make a long term plan in the areas of the wine business that intrigues me.
