This book has become one of the classics of popular Christian books, especially among those who lean towards the charismatic/evangelical end of the spectrum. The late Harold Hill was a nice man and great speaker; I had the pleasure of meeting him twice. He had a way of putting an interesting and humorous spin on Biblical truths. On my spiritual path, I have come to disagree with much of his theology, but his Christianity was sincere and deeply-felt. One of his later books, entitled "God's in Charge Here", dealt with the failures and short-comings of his faith walk. It was written to balance the Glory-all-the-way accounts contained in "King's Kid" and his other books. You have to admire that kind of courage and candor. Bless you Harold, for your life and your books.

How to live like a kings kid is possibly one of the best Christian books I have read. I found that it challenged every aspect of my life and I came to the realisation that what it says in the Bible is literally what it means. The book is written as a life testimony of Harold Hill on how he had the power to live like a King's Kid and the influence it has had on the people around him.

This book is one of the best book's that Mr. Hill has written. What I like of it is that he shows, with a high spirituality, how you can walk in christianity doing things available for all: praying and reading the Bible.

As I was talking to a friend she was telling me about how her husband had been saying he was a king's kid. Three times she said this. Each time it stood out to me. I knew God was telling me something. I then remember a book I had gotten about a year ago at a used Christian Bookstore and I had just put it away. At the time I just knew I was suppose to get it, but put it aside. So today I went and got the book out and starting reading it. How awesome God is! I had been going through a down time and needed this uplifting, faith building book. It has given me the hope I needed to go on and seek God to give me the wisdom I need. Awesome and enjoyable book.

This book is a great testimony of a man that was saved later in life. His experiences shared in this book are an encouragement to those who read it. I purchased copies to pass on to others in order to give them a boost to their faith.

This is about Hill's own walk in the Christian faith. It is exciting and describes adventures of going beyond belief to experience. We often try to carry burdens of life and ask God's help to do it. This little book is witness to a better way. If you are already a Christian or if you have not made a decision about Christ- this is a must read.

I reread the book the first week. It is exciting and
well illustrated from Hill's experiences of faith.
I recommend it highly to anyone seeking to walk in
Christ's steps.

This is one of the books that influenced my decision to become a Christian. For people experiencing a crisis in their lives that don't have time for lengthy theology this book provides answers based on the author's years of successful Christian living. Hill's style of writing is more that of an easily referenced technical manual than a theological dissertation. Although some people may object I find it highly appropriate for a book about practical Christianity.

I think this book brings out that God wants to be more involved in our life, if we let him. And it shows how much we're missing by not reading the Bible or seeking God. However, one could read this book and think we can be rich, or we can get whatever we want. In his later book, "God is in Charge Here", the author points out that God is in charge, and that needs to be kept in mind. He can answer prayer amazingly, or choose not to.

I feel sorry for those "that are blind and cannot see". The bible says unbelievers won't believe. And so it is. One can just pray for them. I love this book, read it many years ago and have recently read it again. Harold Hill comes across as sincere and very much walking the right path. I found his experiences inspirational. Mere preaching to someone does not always work. However, if you teach by experience, and by testimony, it's powerful. It gives you more faith to realise how easy it really is to walk with God. And what you can achieve if you believe, and have faith. Harold Hill is a blessing. Read his books!
