5.0 out of 5 stars A Cat-Fest Of Laughs!
Anyone who likes funny things and cats will love this book. It is full of little stories and one liners and cartoons about cats and what they do, all amusing. Everything is done in black and white. My daughter, 10 years old, also found this book full of laughs. The only problem I had with this volume is that the binding along the spine became separated, but I recommend it...

If you own a cat you need this book. It is a book that makes you laugh out loud, and in addition to this humour it is VERY accurate. If you have a friend who has a new cat in their lives, send them this book. They will always appreciate it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The 1st book I read after graduating from university!, May 21, 2000
If you're a cat owner, you would find this book reviewing all your feelings (happy or unhappy) about cats. Then, after you've read this book, you would ask yourself: Your cat owns you or You own your cat? 'cause you finally understand know why you can't control the cat - cats are more superior than men.

Actually, this is the first book I can finish after I graduated from university 4 years ago! Very interesting comics, thanks to Jackie Geyer. Humourous content, thanks to Stephen Baker. A must read for any cat lover (and also for those who want to 'own' a cat).

5.0 out of 5 stars An absolutely funny book., November 11, 1998
By A Customer
There is no real way to describe this book other than laugh-out-loud funny. The great thing about this book is that it is not written by a doctor who wants you to feel the inner kitten within your cat. It is written by an author who is a cat owner, just like you and me. This book covers the sleeping, eating and everyday activities of a cat...in an unusual way. My favorite part is the outline of a cat's typical day. If that doesn't make you laugh, nothing ever will. I recommend this book for anyone who has ever owned and loved a cat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Illustrations alone make it worth buying, November 3, 2007

I've given several of these to friends with multiple cats. Hilarious! I flip through every now and then just to chuckle at the illustrations, which are definitely the highlight of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful guide., January 4, 1997

Don't you know that you don't have a cat? It's the cat who has you. Now, you have to keep your cat happy. Cat's are always picky, though. So, Stephen Baker has come up with a guide: How to Live With a Neurotic Cat. Cat owners and cat lovers alike, will love this book. My copy is bent and worn from everyone reading it. I could read it over and over again

2.0 out of 5 stars Has this guy ever HAD a cat?!, January 15, 2011
This review is from: How to Live with a Neurotic Cat (Hardcover)
A friend gave me this book, so at least I didn't lose any money, but I'm glad I didn't pay anything for it. It is mildly humorous, but it mostly left me wondering whether the author has ever even lived with a cat. Probably about 1/3 of the material is right on target, but most does not apply to any cat I've ever had and certainly not most cats. My mother read the whole thing, and her first comment was that she thought the author had never been in the same room with a cat. Way too much of it is based on bad stereotypes (e.g. that cats scratch people a lot) or complete misinformation.

I wasn't expecting anything beyond light humor, but I did expect for it to actually apply to how cats really are! Parts of the book are funny, but most of it is either repetitive or just inaccurate. Don't bother buying this for the cat lovers in your life!
