I think the best and worst part of reading this book, for me, the realization that, sadly, I've done most of these things or, being a guy, had them done to me. (The one where the girl goes to the restaurant but doesn't order anything was SO painfully true.)The next time I start a potential relationship, I will seriously read this to remind myself what NOT to do. And I could also use this as a checklist to see if I'm dating the wrong person. A side note ... Ladies, we know you eat. Please, for the love of God, ORDER something when you go out to eat.

This book is an illustrated manual of how to drive a man away from a newly formed relationship. It presents a list of tried and terrible actions that are guaranteed to make a man think twice before calling again- -do too many of these things, and the guy may quickly do something desperate like sign a two-year contract to work in Mongolia just to get away. The book includes suggestions ranging from calling the guy frequently when he's not home and not leaving a message on the machine, to spraying perfume on his pillow, as well as some other stuff that can't be described in detail on Amazon. The book is definitely good for a few laughs, but if you find your life story contained on more than a few of its pages, it's time to start working on a different approach.

I read this in the bookstore with "the guy I was seeing" at the time and we laughed out loud. I commited almost every don't in the book but I just couldn't get rid of him! He is now my "boyfriend." The moral of the story: this book is a wonderful read! It's hysterically funny! PS. NEVER tell him he reminds you of your dad :)

Unbelievably Funny!,

This book is hilarious! A friend of mine brought it in to work, and we all wore it out! Women AND men can relate to the things "Not to do"! (Though I have myself been guilty of standing on the bed doing the "Helicopter Move".) I bought it for my sister, but my wife has disappeared with it and all of her friends have had it at one point or another! Silly sarcasm at its best!

Funny and sad,

This book isn't written like a typical book. It reads more like a graphic novel, but with childlike stick-figure drawings in crayon with a caption underneath each drawing.
Each caption gives comical tips on how to freak out a guy so you'll lose him sooner rather than later. Here's some examples of what those captions tell you to do: -- At breakfast, sit on the same side as him. Accuse him of flirting with the waitress. Ask him if he thinks she's prettier than you. -- When you get home, call him (the later the better). -- Take your perfume out and spray his pillows. (This allows your scent to linger). -- Stay until you are forced to leave. -- Go see your psychic. Tell him everything she says. Mind you, this is all done in the very early stages of a relationship where you two barely know each other. I thought this book was both hilarious and sad. It's sad when a woman becomes so desperate to get a guy to love her that she ends up making a fool of herself. But, unfortunately, this happens much too often.

A short read, but well worth the money in re-reads and showing to friends. This book had me laughing when I viewed it in the store and still does today. The insane behavior described from the girl, coupled with the goofy stick-figure pictures, make this book a joy to read. I think Day Two is my favorite: "If you think it's time, tell him you love him." Sheesh ...
Not a serious dating guide, but a good way to laugh at yourself. Or your crazy friends/relatives. (My Mom still says stalking a guy at a gym is a good idea).

Wow, reading this is like looking in a mirror. It's all YOU! My boyfriend and I both loved it, and that's a pretty impressive statement. (And yes, I told him he reminded me of my father. Ugh!!)I also recommed NO ONE'S EVEN BLEEDING & DELANO for lots of laughs.

Oops...I did it again,

I received this book for Christmas from a friend who knows me all too well. Each turn of the page prompted not only tear-jerking laughter, but the opportunity to exclaim, "Oops! I think I've done that!" (I am happy to report my hair is NOT cut like Stacey's.) This book is like that hilarious Saturday Night Live skit you try to tell everybody about, but can only be fully understood when experienced first-hand. Cheers to the authors--I wish I had thought of it!
