The information in this book is perfect for somebody without too much time to put into a complicated diet. It gives you quick and easy tips to help you to lose weight as simply as possible. Just little things to do in your every day life that help a lot. The tips it gives are explained in detail. It also tells you why the things you change will help you. That way you know exactly why you're doing what you're doing, which helps.

The diet this book helps you to change the things you do every day, rather than doing an insane month long starvation diet that is impossible to maintain. It is well worth it.

I got this book in a free promotion.

In the first couple of pages I was rolling my eyes - eat breakfast and avoid starvation mode? Really? But the rest of the book was a pleasant surprise. It includes a lot of little tips on increasing your metabolism, using herbs to alter your hormone profile, fasting, crash dieting, using cognitive therapy to change the way you feel about food, and other advice. Some of it is common sense, but a lot of it is cutting edge science. It's brief and not referenced, but definitely worth your time if you don't know much about metabolism.

If you read a lot of fitness blogs, magazines, books, or have ever done a sport that involves cutting weight none of this will be new to you, but if you haven't, it's definitely worth a look.

This is a great diet guide book, with well thought out strategies, which you put together to make for definite weight loss, some short term, most long term. The author also discusses less known strategies like encouraging "cold" environments to make your body work hard to heat up, and I really like the "change your habits" chapter.

I also think the "caleries burned" checklist is a great tool to see what tasks actually burn fat. Overall a really great book to help you lose weight!

Thought that it was informative and enlightening. It's a good starter book for getting ideas and a jump start on losing weight, but don't expect to have all of the secrets. Most of this stuff you can find online too, if I would have paid for it I would have been disappointed.

Excellent guide! It might be best to call these 11 "categories" of tips, because with each one the author goes in-depth with even MORE tips galore! Some of these things I do naturally, (and they are really easy tips, too!) because they seem logical (albeit strange to my friends), but now I know the reason WHY they work, and they work better than I expected!,

The first idea may put you off, but ignore that gut-feeling and read the WHOLE book. It's worth the time, and the money.

Fred Mack is a professional strength and conditioning coach. His education in nutrition and conditioning consists of a bachelor of science degree in exercise and nutritional sciences from the University of Minnesota. He was inspired to write this book as way to show that it doesn't have to be hard and you don't have to be miserable to lose weight. Everyone can do it if their have the right tools. Fred Mack resides in San Jose with his girlfriend, Mary.
