I wasn't a huge fan of Louise Hay's "You can heal your life" but this CD "How to love yourself" is jammed packed with 10 principles and every single one of them is right on the money! I have a personal library of all sorts of self-help and metaphysical books and audiobooks and CDs, "How to love yourself" would be one of the top 10 on my list of all time favorate to keep listening everyday......Well done Louise!

I never thought that I would give a one star review to a Louise Hay product as I love her work. But this 23 minutes CD is a total waste of money. It is interesting to note that many of the reviewers don't even review the CD, they talk about her other CD's. Here is why...

The description of this CD bears NO RESEMBLANCE TO WHAT YOU HEAR. I bought the AUDIBLE/ITUNES VERSION which is apparently the same as this one. This is NOT one of those great live Louise Hay lectures you were hoping to hear. I just picked up a copy at ITUNES and there is no lecture portion. It is about 18 minutes of hokey "love yourself" SONGS, yes someone SINGING about loving yourself. The piano then continues for about 2 minutes while Hay rattles off a few affirmations. Next is a very short meditation you could have dreamed up yourself. Go to a beach and listen to the waves and feel your toes in the sand. Imagine that the water is the ocean of abundance with plenty enough for everyone. See that you have a container to scoop up some. Look at what you are using to scoop it. This says something about your spiritual state. After stating several more times that there is enough for everyone, she suggests you forget the container and build a pipeline from the ocean to your home. We then hear another terrible song. This time it is done with a laughable calypso beat.

I was stunned that she would produce something this bad. If you are in the market for a short lecture that touches on issues of self love, try her "Dissolving Barriers" it is live and with the exception of some minor feedback a much better purchase. If you don't believe me and want to hear part of the first song for yourself, preview this product on ITUNES before you buy it. Also check out the review on Amazon's partner Audible.com. I bought several of her products there. I've listened to this and Dissolving Barriers. I hope none of the others are this bad.

But low self esteem is an epidemic in this country. I am appreciative that there are people in the world like Ms. Hay who feel that we deserve better, and then teaches how to give it to ourselves, rather than depending on others for our happiness. The things that make me unhappy are mine to deal with, and once I did, I became free in a way I had not known I could be. It was a great gift to not only love myself, but forgive myself as well. Louise Hay is the reason I received that gift, and it might just help you as well.

Iread most of L.Hays books in the early ninty's,they were a knight in shining armour for me,my ex husband left me for an older woman,i was left with 2 children,after 14yrs marriage and been with this man since I was 17,and then been 32 I headed for a nervous b/down,with support from my family and counselling,I read Louise's book,and found that the negetivity and guilt I was shouldering was his guilt placed on my shoulders all the years we were together,I didn't know me anymore,so her books were a Godsend at that time,with Meditations and Prayer and guidance, I was able to lift myself up,and find my own identity,and feel worthy.Now in the Year 2000,I have found peace,I attend a Spiritual church,teach Meditation and Personal deavelopment and share my stories with others.Since my breakup I have gone thru Cancer,but my faith now is so strong am able to cope,I believe in nurturing myself,I have 5 yrs clear since Cancer struck and I feel I can conquer most anything. Louise Hay has been able to share her gift with many and feel she has reached millions of people,turning their negetivity into positive healing.

Since 1988, I have listened to Louise on cassettes. In 2003, the cassettes wore out and I now am the proud owner of 21 of her CD's and several of Louise's books. Her personal story is inspiring to me. She teaches that your thoughts can be your best friend or your enemy! And how you can change a thought! For almost 20 years, Louise has been of great assistance to me in helping me get through some rough times and move on to a happier life. On this CD, she really explains how to love yourself and this CD has been a big help to me!

I play this CD at night and it helps me fall asleep knowing that I love myself and tomorrow will be a new day.

Louise Hay is great to listen to! She says just what we wish our parents had said to us while we were growing up. If you have a low self-esteem (like me), then listening to her words will help you to feel better about yourself and heal past hurts. I find the audio versions of her books to work better for me than the written words. When you listen to the CDs a few times, you start hearing her words of encouragement in your mind instead of your self-defeating talk. And that's just what you need to work on loving yourself more and forgiving yourself for any wrongs you feel like you have caused. I highly recommend her materials!

I have attended hundreds of seminars and trainings dealing with self-esteem and self-love. This program is by far the best, bar none. It is simple, clear, concise, and entertaining. Louise is a wonderful speaker. She also offers a post-religion metaphysical paradigm based on the goal of unconditional love that should be the gold standard for healthy spirituality in the new millenium. Thank you, Louise! Absolutely love this CD! Louise Hay is a dynamic speaker with a message that goes right to the heart.
I listen to this CD several times a week and never grow tired of her message.
I appreciate her ability to present her knowledge with calmness, gentleness,and yet, powerful approach.
I would recommend anyone that struggles with issues around self-love, self esteem, to buy this CD or anything written by Louise Hay!

This is excellent information that leads to a happier you and is transferred to others. Excellent, a must have.
