Finally a great book for guys on the infertility journey!,

I have read easily 20 books on infertility and have searched and searched for a book for my husband. I finally found it and my husband devoured the book. This book goes well beyond describing generic information about ivf and general infertility. My husband especially loved the humor the author used - infertility is so heavy that it's nice to be able to laugh at the process. Definitely buy this book are you looking for something your husband can relate to!

I totally hijacked my husband's e-mail to write this review. This clever book was a journey within a helpful guide that I didn't want to leave on the nightstand for the next day. It was so funny, I was laughing out loud throughout the book and my husband was constantly asking me what could possibly be so funny about fertility. Apparently, a tremendous amount of ha-ha funny mixed with familiar funny that was perfect. The writer is so good at giving supportive information on a tough process while also telling a wonderful personal story from his own guy brain. I mean the chapter names alone make it worth reading. This is a must guide for the guy in your life and he will actually enjoy it!

I bought this book after my husband experienced fertility issues while conceiving our second child. I honestly have not laughed so hard in a long time. My husband is not a big reader, but after reading a few excerpts to him, he picked it up and couldn't put it down. Plus, the information is right-on with personal stories from the author's own struggles which I think helped my husband relate to. I highly recommend this book for men (and their wives) struggling with fertility problems!

Easy read on a difficult topic,
This review is from: How to Make Love to a Plastic Cup: A Guy's Guide to the World of Infertility (Paperback)
I bought this book because some of the women in my moms club were discussing it so enthusiastically. I am fortunate enough to not have any fertility problems, but I have a few friends who are dealing with infertility (two for their second babies) and I wanted to understand what they are going through. There is tons of information in this book, but it isn't overwhelming because it is well-organized and quite funny. The book is unique because it is told from the man's perspective. The author seems like a "guy's guy", just like my husband and a lot of men I know. I could absolutely imagine my husband wanting to "fix" things, just like the author. I think every man and woman going through infertility should read this book, if anything just to understand how important it is to have a sense of humor through the difficult process.

When you go through infertility, you buy a lot of books. And the truth is, they are mostly geared towards women. This is the first book that's geared towards men. I bought this book for my huband because he wasn't feeling like part of the process. I read about this book on the Resolve message boards and everybody was right. Buy the book. Put it in the bathroom. He'll read it. When I heard him chuckling in the bathroom, I knew we had a winner. The author presents a lot of information in a funny, accessible-to-guys way and now I think my husband knows more about the process than I do! I enjoyed it, too!

I highly recommend this to anyone dealing with infertility. The author's honesty and remarkable sense of humor set this book apart from anything else I've seen written on the subject. It's rare enough to find a voice that sounds at all familiar in a book about infertility, but to also feel like the author is someone you'd want to watch a football game with is extraordinary.

Well written & funny to boot,
This review is from: How to Make Love to a Plastic Cup: A Guy's Guide to the World of Infertility (Paperback)
My husband and I both found this book incredibly helpful - and funny (which let's be honest, it kinda hard to do on this topic). The world of IVF and infertility is not something normally spoken of by guys...to guys, but it is now! And it should be - us women aren't in this alone!! So glad the men now have a voice ~ and some good advice as well. I bought this for a friend going through the process with the hope that she will hand it to her husband to read!

Fertile and Fun Guide to Infertility for a Dude,

Wolfe writes about a sensitive issue with humor and heart. Interweaving personal anecdotes with the ins and outs of infertility, alongside savvy advice, he kept both me and my husband engaged in this hilarious read. Going through IVF is fraught with heartbreak and frustration. Wolfe infuses his advice with plenty of laughs, and ultimately made this infertile couple feel that our own personal struggle wasn't so lonely.

Take a Big Gulp of "Plastic Cup",

This is a must-read for any man wandering through the maze of infertility issues. Greg brings the witty, but he never forgets the nitty gritty. This is a fact-filled and entertaining book for anyone going through IVF, enduring months of shots, doctor appointments, emotional carousels... Having some humor along the way is invaluable. Every IVF doctor should keep this book on their waiting room table (instead of that tired stack of scratched 90's porn DVDs). There are many options for couples facing fertility issues, and Greg lays them out in such a helpful, clever way. Men, you'll be doing plenty of splurging during this process - splurge on this book. (PS, I'm not kidding about the DVDs, go to your nearest IVF clinic and see for yourself.)
