Comment: A book with obvious wear. May have some damage to the cover or binding but integrity is still intact. There might be writing in the margins, possibly underlining and highlighting of text, but no missing pages or anything that would compromise the legibility or understanding of the text.

Arrived quickly and in perfect conditions. It was the perfect book for my book club Christmas exchange. The look on the lady's face who opened it was priceless!

I got this for a friend's bachelorette party, along with "The Art of Kissing" and a few other items. It was just about the most fun of the gifts she received and made quite an impression with the other guests as well. However, because it was a gift, I haven't read it myself.

This guide for the young and in love from the distant past of the 1930's is an eye opening peek into the amorous minds of our grandparents (perhaps even our parents!) that is not timid about it's gender bias. "The man is born strong, the woman weak" is the thesis upon which this depression era guide to wooing is based. The thought that physical intimacy is reserved for the marital bed is an assumption that may be welcomed by some and scorned by others, but provides a striking insight into the minds of those of this era, but also a fascinating exploration of the assumptions that led to many of our cultures gender bias.
