May be the table of content included in the editorial review really set my expectation high on the book, that's why when I recieved it, I read it immediately, and I got disappointed immediately. The "advice" given in the book are very very basic / common sense stuff . DO NOT expect any kind of "insider tips" because there is virtually none. The printing quality of the "book" is bad - I know it is spiral-bound ( because it is stated in the description) , but I don't know / don't expect it to be just a spiral-bound of a pile of photocopy paper ( or computer print out). Despite the "book" is about the beautiful 3D decoupage art and the author always emphasize on the importance of presentation, there is NOT even 1 color picture / photo to give us an example of what "tasteful presentation" means . All the projects being featured are black and white , and worse still , some of the pictures are quite blur. My conclusion: if I want to save money / make my paper tole business profitable, I shouldn't have bought this book.

A wealth of information for making money with any art form.,

I loved this very comprehensive guide for saving money/making a profit. Ms. Overduin's valuable tips/suggestions could be applied to any art form. The author, an accountant with an MBA who turned her hobby into a successful business, covers the following hot topics in a concise and well-illustrated manner:how to sell your work, pricing for profit with easy formulas, how to reduce costs of supplies, operating expenses and exhibits, how to advertise and the stumbling block for all of us struggling to make a living at our art:record keeping. This last topic covers expenses that can be claimed against sales, records to be kept for tax purposes plus suggestions for income tax reductions. It really helped me...great book!

Both of Dee overduin books have helped me in the past year.I am a paper tole teacher and I found her books where very helpful to myself and my students. Her book on making money with paper tole is great and has saved me lots of time and money. Her other book has saved my students hundereds in framing costs as all my students frame there own work thanks to Dee's. When I have had trouble with a project I just click on Dee's web site and she is always there to help. I hope you write another book soon. Christine Davis Cleveland Texas

I found this book not as interesting as I thought. Most of the suggestions are common sense, therefore not a discovery. However for those who are going into business for the first time, it will be an interesting book to read.
