You need a lathe and a Tig welder to make this silencer.,
This review is from: How To Make A Silencer For A .45 (Silencers) (Paperback)
The author states this right up front. He has no control over what the editors put in the ad-blub. He says the same thing in the book on making a can for the Mini-14. He says to do your learning on a .22, and to read his .22 "can-book" FIRST. This man's designs work just as he says that they do. If you are not a machinist and a welder, of course you can't follow the instructions in this book. It would help to be an accomplished gunsmith, too.

From the real "A Customer",
This review is from: How To Make A Silencer For A .45 (Silencers) (Paperback)
The review below from "A Customer" was written by an IMPERSONATOR. Under that name I have reviewed ONLY the titles Practical Firearm Suppressors and Military Grade Suppressors. I have not read this title and cannot comment on it. Judging by the way my good fake name was used to trash it however it must be pretty damn good.

Intersting book,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: How To Make A Silencer For A .45 (Silencers) (Paperback)
Having no interest in staying at Club Fed for 8 - 10, this was bought purely for the information and as a criminal science class study item. Its well written, informative and downright scary to know how easy these things can be made.

All crap all the time,
By A Customer
This review is from: How To Make A Silencer For A .45 (Silencers) (Paperback)
Poorly written with difficult to follow instructions that involve poor techniques and designs.Possession of items described as parts in this book and/or making items described within without first obtaining permission from the Federal and State governments are felony crimes punishable by $10,000+ fines and 10+ years in prison. You can ask the author he spent years in prison himself. There are better books available if the study of this topic interests you. |
