In mid-summer I obtained a copy of this book "How to Make Wooden Farm Toys," and three months later I have made three sets of all the toys in the book. A set went to each sister of mine for their 2-3 year old children, and the third set went to my parents house - the place where all the full-size farm toys are. The kids love the toys - they're easy to play with and interactive - the beanhead on the combine rotates, the chute pivots, the bucket on the skidloader moves, the tractor can have implements attached, etc.

All in all, the final toys are fun and easy for kids to play with. The plans are simple to follow AND they are accurate right off the bat. I have one more set to make, and that will be for my own daughter. She's too young to play with them right now, so I have time to think through wood choices to dress them up just a bit more.

These are GREAT plans for quick, simple holiday toys.

'I obtained a copy of "How to Make Wooden Farm Toys". I followed the plans. They are very well drawn. The instructions are simple. And the diagrams are completely accurate when it comes time to cut and assemble the toys. I live on a hay and silage farm. Three of my grandsons live on the opposite side of a 10-acre field. They love to play with farm toys. These toys have been a huge hit with my grandsons.

I painted these to look like John Deere farm implements. The majority of the equipment on our farm is John Deere.

My grandson, age 3, really loves playing with the combine. He can change the heads by himself. The bean head rotates as the combine is pushed. It is a fun, fun toy.

If anyone wants to make a batch of toys for the coming holidays, these excellent plans will fill the bill. I cannot rate these plans high enough.

I'd never previously made toys but with a 2 yr old daughter and a nephew 6 months older these proved to be really good beginner plans. The book is well laid out and easy to follow, directions are clear and concise and the plans simple to execute. The results are toys the kids love to play with and I've had requests for more.

Thought it would have more than 1 tractor. The cover is all that this book contains. Thought there would be more tractors and implements in it. Guess I should have paid closer attention to what I was buying.
